Space Dust, the MSM and Spaced-Out Days

It’s a shame that the mainstream media (MSM) are not putting the pieces of the puzzle together for those who only get their news from the Television. Sure, they tell us about one super-storm. A sink hole filled with methane and other gases or an earthquake, if these issues are large enough to affect those in their primary viewership region.

What they don’t talk about are the new changes in the upper atmosphere and oceanic circulation that will be long-lasting. They don’t talk about the increasing earthquakes both around the pacific rim and on old, dormant faults, as well as the centers of crustal plates where there have been few historical quakes, located on micro-faults. They don’t talk about Sol-system (our solar system) moving into a new part of the galaxy with increased space-dust, feeding our sun, making it grow hotter, whiter.

Global warming on other planets in our solar system. But we are experiencing all of this all around the world. The experience cannot be hidden. Just not discussed together in the MSM as indicative of a larger issue.

Taken alongside the shift in consciousness currently in progress – which is directly caused by the electromagnetic and cosmic energy increase related to these extra-planetary events – resulting in the waves of unrest and change sweeping the world the way we experience these changes day to day seems so normal. We walk around in a spaced-out daze too often, in a state of cognitive dissonance as what we know conflicts with that which we don’t. Our experiences reflect the inherent confusion caused by these changes in very specific ways:

1. Emotional turmoil
2. Physical symptoms
3. Sleep problems
4. Increased perception
5. Life turned upside-down

The Ancients used to say, As Above, So Below. Our lives are referential of Everything Else. What is going on within each of us, is also going on without. There is only a problem when we don’t know what is going on within us. Then we only have a vague idea about what is going on outside of us. We may visit Doctors who examine our symptoms and prescribe medications to quell them. We may listen to Pundits who bloviate about the topics of the day ad infinitum in order to quiet our curiosity.

We undergo our quiet storms in quiet desperation not realizing that many people across the world are experiencing similar turmoil. We watch the news and shake our heads, not used to drawing the connection between what is going on in the Mid-east and what is going on at our jobs. Our increased irritability and Japan and China fighting over some small islands. The argument you had with your child’s teacher and the argument about education and charter schools.

Our personal energetic fields are inter-connected and our hearts send out magnetic vibrations at the resonance of its emotional state, affecting others. Individuals affect groups, groups affect communities, communities affect nations. The famous example of a butterfly in the Amazon flapping its wings and affecting the weather in New York City seems fanciful but is the same qualitatively as one person in the right position trying to make a change causing a war to erupt.

We are all in the “right” position. Each one of our lives has meaning. Everything we do is important, unto the smallest, most mundane events of the daily grind. Every choice, every decision leads to a course of action that furthers our destinies in the direction of our total and perfect free will expression. Consider our personal limitations, either by birth or circumstance, to mirror the limitations we see in the world around us. The world, as we are, is subject to a certain set of pre-conditions. The world, as we are, is evolving past those pre-conditions in order to manifest a new state of Being. The world, as we are, is changing.

What we individually perceive “out there” in the world around us is really an image we create based upon the limitations of our biology projected on the screen of our minds. We live our lives in our minds, the thoughts we think are the reality that we create.  Our brains create connections between different kinds of information to come to conclusions about the world and we live those conclusions through our decisions. If we are not exposed to as much information as we have access to, then our en-coding of reality is potentially less complete than we need it to be in order to interpret the world as correctly as possible.

The MSM doesn’t help in this regard. Therefore, it is incumbent upon each of us to inform ourselves above and beyond the means readily available to those who are satisfied with the entertainment industry gossip, political maneuvering, reality-based inanity and war-mongering.  There is too much going on to be consciously unconscious. To choose ignorance rather than knowledge.

There may come a time when the knowledge you find, where the connections you make beyond what has been presented to you in the MSM, may be important.  Go beyond what you currently know. Seek information beyond the mainstream.  Seek the truth behind the headlines. Find yourself in others.

Consciousness seeks itself both within and without. Find yourself, and in so doing, you will find the world.

Directed Consciousness: The resonation of material expression

Right now, everything is fine. Peace pulsates at the center. The radiance of calm and well-being exudes an aura of golden stillness.

Spiritual Life CoachingThis is not so because life is perfect. It is not because things are either good or bad. The reason has nothing to do with the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, the trials and tribulations of life. The reason has to do only with the fact that living in the Now creates a mental and spiritual space of presence and awareness. It is the total concentration of attention on the Present. It is the living consciousness of complete awareness.

This is not to say that engaging memory or considerations of the future do not occur. Of course they must, as the processes of living require them in order to navigate life and the world. As an example of directed consciousness, the recapitulation process is a mandatory practice in the resolution of a lifetime. This is also not to say that the emotions are stilled immediately, as they are connected to memory and considerations of the future and often arise spontaneously as the mental imagery and habitual sub-vocal discursiveness engage patterns of chemical release in the form of neuro-peptides cascading from the hypothalamus into the cells of the body, resulting in the bodily expression of mental stimuli. But as the habit of living in the Now evolves and deepens, the neural network begins to reflect the mental changes and the synaptic connection between axons and dendrites that form the network associations we call personality and the memory-based, experiential triggers and self-regulating emotional patterns, resulting in a qualitative rarification process that streamlines the physical structure of the mind in response to the new pattern of the thought processes.

The personal experience of this phenomenon may seem curious and improbable when compared to the typical pattern of emotional addiction and mental chatter that typifies the normative lived experience. But it is the natural evolution of directed consciousness and steady insistence upon mental and emotional control. The ability to direct consciousness and regulate attention is concentration. Everyone does it to a certain extent. Through the practice of physical and mental tasks that develop concentration mind control is facilitated. Art, music, sports and academics all require the development of the concentrative faculties in order to excel in these practices. Since most people have participated in any one of these exercises the states of presence and awareness that often accompany their successful and skilled expression may be somewhat familiar. The reality of living in a constant state of presence and awareness is the reality of living in the Zone.

No matter the state of mind, emotion or body, every moment is perfect. Sometimes it takes a conscious effort to realize this. Ceasing the constant mental chatter to access the infinite space of presence and awareness that underlies all and looking at situations and the world through eyes bright with the epiphanic wonder of directed consciousness reminds the limited personality construct that our default perceptive modalities are only a pale rendition of what is possible.

In the Now regrets fall away into oblivion, as do worries and fears. It becomes readily apparent that such are the illusions of imaginative dwelling, fed by the emotional maelstrom that becomes the personality construct’s default mind-state due to the habitual avoidance of the present moment. Societal forces are in large part responsible for the individual’s preoccupation with the external reality to the detriment of the internal reality. Societal norms and pressure from kinship and peer groups enforce conformity and adherence to patterns of behavior deviating only minimally from standard medians of expressive measurement.

True Awakening: The conservation of energy

What do you see when you look at me?

A soul, incarnate.

What is the meaning of this flesh and blood?

A life, lived.

What am I, really?

Experience made manifest, energy entombed in blood and bone, materialized through time and space.

Each of us has our stories. Every soul incarnate has a lesson and a context within which to learn it. All lessons are one lesson and that lesson is to conserve energy. The conservation of energy is a material energetic law, but it is also a spiritual law. No matter what tradition that you examine no matter where it is across the world, you will find that this law heralding the conservation of energy as the epitome of human development is enshrined at the core of every religion and at the heart of every moral and philosophical code.

It might be nigh unrecognizable depending upon the tradition and the ceremonies and rituals encrusting its veneer, ranging from obscene displays of material wealth to obscure and byzantine chants and incantations all designed to mystify knowledge and the truth of existence that lies within every heart, within every soul, available to whomever delves deeper than the diversionary meanderings of the egoistic personality complex masking as Self. But it is there.

That which I describe simply as the conservation of energy can also be termed Enlightenment. Spiritual awakening.  These days there are many who claim themselves Awakened because they have learned about some of the obscure and relative truths of our world society, or have come upon some of the hidden properties of reality. The term Awakening has been misappropriated to stand for an understanding of the underlying political and economic strata that currently gird our mass media enshrined political and economic carnival masking as the enduring reality of our times. True Awakening instantly minimizes that understanding as trivial and a distraction. True Awakening is the conservation of all energy within a personal system, a human system, a body. True Awakening, or Enlightenment, is the realization that 99% of all thought, words and actions are unnecessary.

Awakening is conserving your personal energy. Not only that, but it is preparing the human body for becoming a portal for multiversal energy.

How can you describe Enlightenment as the Conservation of Energy?

The Awakened think, say or do nothing that is unnecessary.

How does one determine what is necessary and what is not?

By its alignment or non-alignment with the totality of All That Is.

But I’ve heard of and read about supposedly enlightened people who drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes or had sex!

Whatever was done was necessary in the instance of its doing.

But then, how can you tell who is Awakened and who is not if they are not bound by a code of behavior?

You will recognize them when you are in their presence.

Bodies possess energy signatures in the form of auric fields that surround the material form. As a life lived becomes honed in its fineness the energy pattern resonates at a higher and higher vibratory rate, causing that field to express different qualities as it spans the spectrum between the lowest vibratory reverberations and the highest. As energy is conserved and the egoistic personality construct becomes the tool it was designed to be rather than the Master it has become for most people, the all-pervading and encompassing energetic reality, or ultimate consciousness, existing beneath all of material reality shines forth and through the physical body. It becomes possible to literally feel the difference between one who is truly Awakened and one who is not.

There are many who have studied the texts of different religions and spiritual traditions long and hard. They can repeat and synthesize and exhort and declaim spiritual truisms as if they were the deepest expressions of their souls and yet, when in their presence, the simultaneous feeling of lightness and gravitas permeated by beneficence and compassion that marks those who have experienced a true spiritual transformation is missing. The sublime knowing that makes life amusing, the twinkling sprite of love peering from behind eyes deep with the wisdom gained through an  intimate and direct connection with All That Is no longer sullied by the subjective passions and misdirections of the limited and fear-ridden egoistic mind.

The Awakened conserve energy naturally, it is not an affectation. Because they engage in no extraneous thoughts, they spout no extraneous words. Because they do not speak unnecessarily, they do not become committed to actions that do not need doing. Once a certain stage of spiritual development is reached, this occurs automatically and is not something that has to be practiced or remembered. The actual purpose of all religions, spiritual truisms, moral codes and philosophies is to mimic the natural modality that the Awakened live every second of their Awakening. Religions are practice. Grade-school instructions. Moral codes are guidelines describing how one behaves when one has become Enlightened.

How does one then become Awakened?

There are many instructions but only one Way.

Does one specific religion have the answer?

All religions have the answer.

Then why don’t more people become enlightened?

They do not choose to.

People are attached to the world. Religions exhort us to leave it behind, to follow the path of the spirit. But the world calls with all of its attractions. Love, vice, hate, envy, greed, material accumulation, karmic debt, all of it combines to create an intertwined and seductive array of stimuli  that distract a soul complex in lifetime after lifetime, expending energy unnecessarily in endeavors that tie us to one another and the world in an endlessly repetitive pattern of interactions. It is only when we choose to forego the attachment process whether that be to good or evil that we create the space within ourselves to contemplate what might lie beyond the many and varied states of material distraction.

There is, paradoxically, much work to do and no work to do.  Christ says one must become as innocent as a child to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, which is within. The Buddha spoke constantly of purity, which is the state of innocence. The state of an unburdened consciousness, of a life lived within the auspices of the conservation of energy, abiding by natural law at the material and interpersonal levels.  It becomes clear once one begins the intellectual study of the many religious traditions that to act in a moral manner is indeed conserving personal energy, as the destructive and immoral states of being can clearly be determined to be definitive states of unnecessary energy expenditure stemming from distractive and mistaken thought processes and emotional states initiated and carried out by the egoistic personality structure.

Which path is the best to follow?

The path that leads you to enlightenment.

Yes, I know, but which path is that?

The one that takes you to where there are no more paths.

This is so confusing. Could you please speak more clearly?

There is no real clarity at all until one has Awakened.

But how can I become Enlightened if it is not explained directly?

Only direct experience can provide you with the answer to that question.

An Ant’s Life: Humanity on the cusp … again

Today when my partner, my son and I went out for a run I was pushing the stroller over a cobblestone path. I often look down where I’m pushing it to make sure that I’m not running over any insects. To be sure, I don’t do this all of the time, but today, I looked down for an instant to find an ant rushing across our path and then freezing, right in front of the wheel of the stroller. Before I could stop the stroller we were already over the ant and it was dead.

What if we, humans, were like ants? Going about our business, living in and enjoying our civilizations. We’ve got our leaders, our friends, kin groups and jobs. Engaging in the dramas of our individual lives, participating in our societies, dealing with the environment. Then one day, as we are doing our thing, we look up, see something outside of our normative experience and we freeze.

When dealing with entities outside of our normal experience, humans do indeed tend to freeze. Ants, dogs, cows, horses, fine. These, we can handle with varying but generally mundane responses. But with krytpozoological specimens, non-human aliens and ultra-dimensionals, we tend to lock up. And this is, of course, the way it should be, for most people.

In cultures where such interactions have occurred over many thousands of years there is quite a bit of healthy respect and not a little bit of fear. There are Shamans and rituals steeped with libations and offerings, even bodies offered up for these entities to possess for a little while in order to enjoy physicality and pass on wisdom and prophecies. The general populations of these civilizations know that human understanding is limited when compared to that of these entities beyond the scope of everyday human activity and they treat them accordingly. If there is the sense of a trespass made by humans against them, then forgiveness and amends are sought in hopes of appeasing the ultra-dimensionals. For that ant whose path so unfortunately crossed ours earlier today, it was simply its time to go.

There are a lot of people claiming to be in contact with extra-terrestrial civilizations and higher dimensional entities these days. They pass on many messages but the gist of them are that the Earth is in the midst of a fundamental shift and alien-human contact, rather than decreasing, will increase in the coming months and years. There are a multitude of variations of those proclamations, from catastrophic earth changes to spiritual ascension for the entire human family. Accompanying this increase in multi-dimensional communication is the push-back from alarmed groups of humans who either disbelieve those carrying these messages or warn against being taken in by what may be hostile non-terrestrial and higher-dimensional civilizations.

Consider, again, the ant. The ant has very little idea about human civilization. When thinking about the difference in perception between humans and animals, it is quite probable that ants don’t perceive time or space in a manner similar to humans. While we can observe them and apply meaning to their actions and ways of living in the world, it is questionable whether they can do the same to ours. There is an order of understanding, or a dimensional difference in consciousness, that acts as a barrier to that understanding.

A consideration to seriously take into account is a human attempt at understanding the next higher physical dimension from ours. Dimensions 1 – 3 go from a point to our 3rd dimensional reality. The 4th dimension is the realm of the the Tesseract, an object that can be represented in 3 dimensions by the 4-dimensional hypercube, a physical structure that looks to us like a square within a square. For our purposes, it represents the intricacy of the 4th dimension when compared to the 3rd, the realm of our perceptions. Entities who inhabit this dimension would have a much greater ability to perceive than those who inhabit lower dimensions, as there is so much more complexity where they’re from than there is here. So, much as we look at an ant crossing our path and think, “oh, what a simple creature, I’d better be careful not to hurt it”, these ultra-dimensional entities may look at us as we cross their paths and think much the same.

Attempting to understand the perspective from higher dimensions is perceptually difficult as long as our capabilities are limited by linear thinking. Looking at how the world would be perceived by someone living a 2-dimensional version of our lives, helps.

As we move into the last half of 2012 and into the timeline beyond this fateful year, it is incumbent upon us each to examine ourselves for traces of linear as opposed to multidimensional thinking. There are many examples of linear thinking in our lives. Believing that people can’t changing is one. Limiting other people’s potentialities.

Believing that we have all of the answers is another. Perceiving reality as uni-dimensional rather than multi-dimensional. Within each of our minds there are limits that we place upon our own capacities to open up further and perceive more aspects of reality than we ever have before. It is possible, even at the human level, to perceive things beyond the uni-dimensional. We can open ourselves to be more encompassing of the multi-dimensional if we take the time and make the effort to do so. The only thing stopping us from doing so is ourselves.

The main reason why we don’t is because we are afraid. Afraid of the unknown. Afraid of finding out that the world really is not as stable or as safe as we might currently be fooling ourselves into half-believing. Especially in these days and times of failing currencies, high unemployment and world-changes that stretch the limits of our understanding. There is so much going on at so many levels in our lives and beyond that when that large shadow of the unknown falls over us and we look up to see something strange, we … freeze. Just like that ant.

Times they are’a changin’, as some bard once sang. Even though cultures around the world are familiar with the existence of aliens and ultradimensionals, Western civilization is on the cusp of their reintroduction. One of the disadvantages of ruling the world for a while is the hubris that inevitably accompanies the mass transition to larger frameworks of reality.  The West has had a couple of hundred years to bask in the limelight of the scientific method and advances that have brought the world back to the space age. And now that we are on the verge of catapulting ourselves back into the void – both inner and outer – it should come as no surprise to find out that it is inhabited.

But even more importantly than that, is that what lies beyond our sight – both inner and outer - has been with us all along. Human panspermic origins, ancient astronauts, repeated catastrophic extinctions and the remnants of high technological societies, all within the context of astronomical and solar systemic cycles that repeat endlessly, heralding changing energetic circumstances upon and around Sol-System. It is just humanity’s time again, to widen our minds, to leave behind the childish perspective of uni-dimensional thinking and broaden our perspective to encompass greater truths. No matter how the details work out or when, it is inevitable that this shift in perspective occurs. If humanity is to manifest its full potential all of the social ills that we cherish so dearly here on planet Earth will have to be given up in favor of participation in the larger community of souls at the galactic and universal level.

I imagine myself going back in time to this morning and stopping just in time to save that ant’s life. Bending down and picking it up with a finger and bringing it close to my head and attempting to stare directly into its compound eyes and communicate with it, perhaps just saying:

“Hello, sorry about that. Next time you should look up before you cross the path.”

And, in some form of insect language transmitted by touch and smell, I might be given to understand the ant’s reply, which might be something to the effect of:

“Thank you God, for sparing my life.”

But I can’t go back in time and the ant is dead. I hope that we each fare a bit better when we have our own personal encounters with higher forms of consciousness.

Understanding Cosmic Geography: Beyond New Age mythology

The scientists try really hard to make this difficult for some reason. It’s not really apparent to me why this might be so unless there is something dangerous about understanding some very basic truths about Creation. I recently watched a video of a popular NASA astronomer who was intent upon debunking “2012 Doomsday Scenarios”. In the process of doing that and attempting to calm fears of the world ending on December 21, 2012, he stated uncategorically that the Earth, viewed from the sun, aligns with the galactic equator twice a year. By making this statement he was telling a fundamental truth. But a truth that is relative and that holds an arguably ancillary relation to the greater cosmic cycles heralded by many systems of knowledge both ancient and new.

The Earth is currently tilted at an approximately 23.5 degree angle on its axis. This means that the Earth’s equator is at an angle to an imaginary line emanating from the sun’s center and passing through the center of it and other planets in the solar system. This imaginary line is called the Plane of the Ecliptic. As the Earth travels around the sun during the course of the year at a speed of 18.4 miles per second, this tilt is actually the reason why we have varying seasons as the Arctic and Antarctic circles are exposed to direct sunlight at oppositional times of year. In the Northern Hemisphere, when the summer solstice arrives on June 20th, the Arctic Circle is bathed in sunlight and that region of the planet experiences a 24 hour day, while, in the Southern Hemisphere on the same day, the Antarctic Circle experiences a 24 hour night. It is during the winter and summer solstices during this particular span of years that the Earth is generally aligned with the Galactic Equator. Since we passed through the Galactic Equator – which is a few hundred light years in thickness - 2 million years ago, Sol-System is currently 50+ light years above it and well into a potential danger zone.

Precession of the EquinoxesThe 23.5 degree “lean” of the Earth, known as the Axial Tilt, results in the apparent but semi-illusory astronomical phenomenon known as the Precession of the Equinoxes, or, the Great Year.  This cycle is an approximately 25,772 year cycle where the stars in the sky seem to apparently move backwards in relation to a position on Earth if seen over the course of this cycle. The Earth precesses, exhibiting a slow, conical movement that causes the stars overhead to circle in a lengthy cycle. For example, the Northern pole star, Polaris, is almost directly over the North Pole (it will be directly over the Pole at about 2100) only for a relatively short while. In time, other stars will be the pole star until such a time in the cycle when Polaris is once again directly over the Pole, indicating the completion of the cycle.  5000 years ago, the star Thuban, in the constellation of Draco was the Pole Star and was designated by the Egyptians as such. In 6,000 years, the Pole Star will be Alderamin in the Cepheus Constellation and in 12,000, it will be near the star Vega, in the Lyra constellation. It has been calculated that the solstice point (the exact center of the sun as viewed from earth) will align with the Galactic Equator circa 2012, which can only occur once in the entire precessional cycle. The exactitude of this particular solstice – as opposed to other, off-centered solstices – is its importance.

In relation to the position of the Sun, Earth and its cohort of planets comprising the solar system orbit at an approximately 90 degree angle to the Galactic Equator, or the Galactic Plane. The Sun, Sol, is orbiting around a central position that theorists posit contains what might be either a singularity known as a Black Hole or an alternating Black Hole/White Hole complex existing in a configuration measured by what is known as the Kruskal-Szekeres Spacetime Coordinate System that then coalesces into a  Schwartzchild Wormhole connecting two universes. The complex interrelationship of these two types of dense energetic agglomerations results in oppositional yin and yang-like actions, with Black Holes drawing in energy and White Holes  ejecting energy.  According to the model, the two types of energy processing singularities may alternate in space and time in a spiraling, cyclical fashion that results in both Creation and Destruction phases.

It takes Sol-System approximately 226 million years, moving at a rate of 135 miles per second, to orbit this mysterious central region of the Milky Way galaxy. This time period is known as the Cosmic or Galactic Year and is measured through observations made by the Hubble Telescope fixated upon Sagittarius A, an astronomical radio source which lies upon the border of the Sagittarius and Scorpius constellations very near the center of the galaxy.  Since the center of the Milky Way Galaxy has not yet been directly observed – while the idea of at least a singular Black Hole existing at the center of many galaxies is considered a scientific fact –  the approximation of the composition of the Galaxy’s central region remains subject to relational measurements, hence the designation of Sagittarius A as galactic center by the scientific establishment.

The planets are of course orbiting the sun throughout this period and do so at an approximately 90 degree angle to the Galactic Equator or Plane as mentioned previously. A significant aspect of the solar system’s circumnavigation of the galaxy is the fact that the Sun’s ecliptic plane is always oriented toward the Galactic Center which may indicated an established energetic relationship. This possibility adds credence to the insistence upon the alignment of the Earth with the Sun and the Galactic Equator in December of 2012 as being of resonant import. Positions A, B and C in the image to the right reflect the position of the December Solstice sun 3000 years ago, 1,500 years ago and this year, indicating its location in relation to the Milky Way galaxy. Besides moving towards and away (tidal motion) from the Galactic Center, Sol-System also moves up and down in relation to the Galactic Plane. It takes 64 million years to complete one of these perpendicular oscillations, meaning that Sol-System is above the Galactic Plane for 64 million years and below the Galactic Plane for 64 million years.  Also according to the article linked above regarding the potential danger zone above the Galactic Plane, this wave-like motion results in greater and lesser protection from cosmic radiation, exemplified by the Earth’s bio-diversity cycle – measured as the time between mass extinctions – which, at 62 million years in duration, almost exactly corresponds to the planet’s movement above and below the Galaxy’s equator.

Sol-System and the Earth have passed above the Galactic Plane which has resulted in an increase in cosmic energy bombarding the planet as well as an increased risk of comet strikes.  The Sun and other sources of radiation can drastically affect the climate of Earth as well as seismic and volcanic activity. This measured increase of incoming energy may result in a decrease in bio-diversity and a potential mass extinction that may be more related to the movement of the solar system rather than any anthropogenic causes, as may also be the case with global warming as a solar-systemic rather than a purely planetary phenomenon.

There currently exists much contention around these topics  and, seemingly, much disinformation. The connection between emotions and energy is well established in the scientific literature. If more energy enters Earth-System it only stands to reason that people across the world will undergo certain types of collective emotional experiences as a result. While the energetic aspect and implications of increased bombardment of the planet by cosmic radiation is understood by scientists to result in genetic changes that have been proven to lead to a higher mortality rate, there is little overt discussion of these topics in the mainstream nor is there any indication that such is forthcoming.

It also seems to be the case that the disinformation campaign has permeated current-day spiritual movements as well. Confused and non-scientific proclamations regarding “photon belts” and “central suns” unnecessarily distort perceptions and take advantage of the unwary. The purported photon belt has been posited to surround the solar system or to be a fixed region of space the Earth is entering, while the star Alcyone is purported to be the galaxy’s “central sun”. The photon belt theories are based upon the “super-wave” concept as developed by Dr. Paul LaViolette describing cosmic ray volleys emanating from the central region of our galaxy. These rays result in measurable impacts upon climate and lifeforms. The Pleiades constellation and Alcyone are in the opposite direction (as measured from Sol-System and Earth’s perspective) from the galactic core and Sol-System cannot orbit a star further distant from the galactic core than itself.

While the Photon Belt idea does hold some credence in that it is based upon a very real and measurable energetic phenomenon, the state of nigh-religious fervor distracting the gullible from the true nature of things remains problematic. The brilliant luminosity and massive physicality of Sagittarius A actually serves to reinforce it’s status as candidate for some “central sun” ideal as does its location, while Alcyone and the Pleiades serve only as distractions, literally guiding people’s gaze in the opposite direction from Truth.

Perhaps this state of affairs serves the Establishment in keeping the public relatively unaware of the nature of our world, solar-system, galaxy and universe.  As long as people are kept ignorant of the cyclical nature of reality and the proven challenges that arrive like clockwork to overtake and devastate the Earth there will be no uncomfortable questions or mass hysteria. Perhaps it is the state of uncertainty itself which forces governments and science into perhaps unwitting conspiratorial collusion as the paucity of direct evidence and sure knowledge make predictive declarations politically dangerous for individuals and institutions.

Whatever the case may be, there are some things that are most certainly known and that have a direct bearing upon our world and state of collective consciousness. Being aware of the cyclical nature of reality is fundamental to a general knowledge of how the world works and is a necessary part of any basic education. Taking an holistic view of disparate phenomenon – as done in this article – brings to light some very interesting potentialities for the near and distant future. There are indeed challenges to collective and individual physical, mental and spiritual stability now and to come, to be sure. But the world will not end on December the 21, 2012 despite deliberate and derogatory generalizations characterizing non-mainstream spiritualists by mainstream paradigmatic hitmen.

It has become quite evident that ancient civilizations had access to planetary, solar systemic and galactic knowledge that far exceeds our current grasp of reality. The oft misinterpreted depictions of the ancient Sumerians, Egyptians, Mayans and other peoples have resulted in the free and uninformed cultural appropriation of systems of measurement and thought foreign to minds of today. The extent to which sound affects the physical world and language mirrors thought and affects the genetic makeup of individuals is a sobering reality-check upon our modern ability to fully understand the seemingly multidimensional nature of polytonal (Eastern, Southern) as opposed to monotonal (Western) languages. However these ancient peoples came by their knowledge of the universe, their insistence upon the cyclical nature of reality and the repeated destruction of civilizations due to cosmic energetic shifts is a consistent theme the world across.

The culminations of planetary, solar systemic and galactic cycles present opportunities for energetic shifts to peak and then dissipate over time as our solar system and world enter, traverse and then pass new regions of space.  How we respond to these energetic changes biologically, mentally and spiritually is, to a large extent, both an individual and a collective endeavor. We must, as a species, become comfortable with the fact that our world must change and that it is beyond our collective ability as a technological species to determine the nature of that change. How we individually relate to the Times and to the coming world can represent deliberate and informed point loci of viral effectiveness within an information-driven network as our knowledge becomes shared with our social groupings and then radiates outwards in a web of ever-increasing awareness.

There will come a point when it becomes impossible to hide the truth of what is occurring. Concentrating personal attention and focus by seeking truth in an unwavering fashion will in turn hone individual purpose and intention, consolidating psychological and spiritual systems around key aspects of reality pertaining to personal evolution. Knowing the Truth, therefore, is being the Truth. The Truth that must soon pervade the consciousness-oriented meme of our post-modern and pre-apocalyptic collective.

Practical Enlightenment: Processing the emotions of other people

One of the most important things that happens directly after a kenshō  experience is the loss of personal emotions. At least, that is what it seems like. But it is not actually what happens. The actual experience of kenshō  results in a virtual wiping of the synapses within the brain’s neural network. Memory remains intact, as does the ability to feel emotion. What has occurred is that the emotional ties that were once held in common with certain memories and states of being have been severed.

Things that happen to you that once would have had you seething with anger no longer do so. Memories that once had you crying rivers lose their potency. People whom you once detested you are no longer bothered by. A state of equanimity sets in, that, at first, may be unsettling. You may wonder to yourself, have I lost my emotions? Can I love anymore? Can I hate?

All of these emotions remain accessible. But it has now become your choice whether or not to honor them. Whether or not to bring them forward past satori into your new state of BEing.

One of the consequences of this slate-cleansing process is an intensification of experiential awareness. As the state of Enlightenment becomes part of the lived reality, old patterns of thinking, of responding, or acting that have been stripped of their emotional power remain, but are no longer fueled by neuro-peptides coursing through the body in support of the thoughts and their potential actions. Previous meditative practice resulted in the ability to clear the mind of thoughts, but this state of BEing actualizes; it becomes the default state after satori. But, as mentioned, old patterns still remain and, as they come up, they must be dealt with. Because they are no longer fueled by emotions it is a relatively simple task to let them go when they do not serve the new personality construct.

One pitfall that seems to be a part of this process but actually is not, is when dealing with other people. Whether realized or not, the chemical expression of emotions is also an energetic expression. When we feel emotional, our bodies actually reflect those feelings which can be measured on instruments of different kinds. Energetically speaking, emotions are energy that can be detected through kirlian photography, aura-reading and energy work. When emotions are experienced, they also emanate from us as a field and other people can feel them. The stronger the emotion, the larger the field. If the emotion is directed at a certain person, then that person becomes the focal point of those emotions. If the emotions are directed at someone who has experience a kenshō event, then – and because of that event  and the resultant ultra-sensitivity to physical and astral environs – that person experiences the emotional state as if it were her own.

This can be very confusing at first, but grows easier to handle in time. The emotions gleaned from others, which have rushed into the vessel of the enlightened one, can fuel responses commiserate either with old patterns of thinking and feeling or they can be processed and released. Effectively, they can pass through without catching hold. For the newly awakened, there remain old patterns that it is possible for the energy of the emotions to catch hold to, drawing the individual into the conflict which results in further confusion and inner examination. This is why it remains necessary for individuals who have experienced kenshō  to continue in their meditative practices as well as designating time to the recapitulation process as a method of self-clearing and re-attunement.

The choice to remain involved in the world and with other people is the choice of service-to-others. The fallacy of seeking in the process of spiritual elevation as a function of egocentric tendencies of mind to the detriment of spirit are difficult to surpass as the ego’s grasp upon consciousness is often seemingly all-pervasive to those so encumbered. But the passage through the morass is ever-present. Its deceptive simplicity actually contributes to its difficulty as a “that’s it??” response often occurs after being told what seems to be an easy prognosis of quieting and controlling the mind. The actual process itself, once instigated, builds upon itself, which leads to a steady-state resonance that allows the individual to ground himself in a manner previously impossible. To be present during the daily grind and able to effectively project all of herself into whatever it may be they are engaged in. Even after all of this practice, the actual satori experience is an experience of grace that is transmitted through a spiritual teacher that may be present in the physical world or upon the astral planes. Therefore no one can predict exactly when Enlightenment may occur for anyone, or how.

Despite these pratfalls, it is not possible for a person who has experienced kenshō  to un-experience it. To forget the experience or to return to the state of Maya. There remain no ties to the material world and its effects and all personality traits expressed thereafter become purposeful tools designated for specific tasks; the achievement of life-goals – of the spirit, not of desire – being paramount among those. Since the world of the senses holds no further attractions, those life goals must of necessity be spiritual in nature. And once kenshō  has been experienced, the only spiritual goal worth achieving is helping others to move beyond Samsara as well.

Belief, Knowledge and Truth: Can you tell the difference?

Who are you?

What do you believe is true?

What do you know is true?

Is there a difference between belief and knowledge?

If you say no, there is no difference, what are you basing that belief on?

If you say yes, there is a difference, what are you basing that belief on?

Do you sense the inherent contradiction here?

The limitations of language?

How many times have you noticed how people make their belief systems their lived reality and shaped their own personal experience of the world to reflect that belief? How believers surround themselves with other believers and therefore everything in their environment reinforces their beliefs. If someone believes something with all of their heart and mind, does that make it knowledge? If I believe with all my heart and mind that the world is flat, does that make it true? If I believe with all my heart and mind that God lives in Heaven above and the Devil in Hell below does that make it true? If I believe with all my heart and mind that there is no God at all and that individual consciousness ends at death does that make it true? Are truth and belief equivalent? Are truth and knowledge equivalent?

So what, then, is the difference between belief and knowledge? And what do either of them have to do with truth?

One online dictionary says:

Belief:

  1. An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
  2. Something one accepts as true or real; a firmly held opinion or conviction.
Knowledge:
  1. Information and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
  2. What is known in a particular field or in total; facts and information.

Truth:

  1. The quality or state of being true: “the truth of her accusation”.
  2. That which is true or in accordance with fact or reality: “tell me the truth”.

1. Belief: Acceptance. Opinion. Existence.

2. Knowledge: Acquiring. Experience. Practical.

3. Truth: Fact. Reality.

Each of these terms has a subjective and an objective side to them. Each of these terms can mean different things to different people. Each of these terms can be debated endlessly.

Therefore, the only thing the first two terms share in common is their inability to fully encompass all perspectives pertaining to the third term.

As language inherently obfuscates rather than clarifies  the attendant difficulties in determining what is a belief vs knowledge and whether either category encompasses truth is a difficult if not impossible task.

The ability of humans to create lives and live them in communities based upon what are later found to be false beliefs, mistaken knowledge or untruths are rife across the span of history. What was true yesterday might be found to be untrue tomorrow. Human understanding of the world and each other evolves seemingly by the microsecond. Ignorance is the common state of everyone, as there is always something we don’t know that can and often does change our entire perspective about any subject whatsoever.

Disparate brain wiring inhibits understanding, different chemical makeups and the ability to control brain chemistry make some of us more or less compassionate and others more or less detached from the considerations and opinions of others.

Whether one believes or knows that Creation is either purposeful or purposeless does nothing to minimize the acknowledged fact of existence. We exist. Our experiences exist. Our perspectives exist. The double slit experiment proves beyond a doubt that the observer affects the observed. At the level of quarks and mesons, at the level of thoughts, the very presence of consciousness affects the material reality that it perceives. Quantum entanglement proves that everything is connected, also at the sub-atomic level. A split atom sent to the other side of the universe will turn simultaneous to the original remaining in the scientist’s lab.

Belief and Knowledge seem to be filters for experience. The less experience we have, the closer we are to belief. The more experience we have, the closer we are to knowledge. The quality of that experience determines how close our beliefs and knowledge are to truth. Whether a truth is a “little t” truth or a “big T” Truth is determined by how close experience approaches the multiversal in nature. Whether that truth is ephemeral, subjective and dependent upon shifting conditions or whether that Truth is an objective and fundamental expression of some multiversal constant.

The constant in all cases is experience. Personal expression. Therefore, our ability to perceive and express beyond the ephemeral, the subjective, the ego and personality-driven and approach the fundamental, the objective, the Higher Self and Avatarically-driven determines the extent to which our beliefs and knowledge reflect a greater rather than lesser Truth.

Who are you?

How closely do you associate with the truths you believe?

How accurately do you reflect the greater Truths of existence?

Are your truths local or universal?

Is there a difference  between local truths and universal Truths?

If you say no, there is no difference, what are you basing that belief on?

If you say yes, there is a difference, what are you basing that belief on?

Do you sense, here, the perceptual contradiction that, in reality, is no contradiction at all?

The necessity of going beyond language?

The Bio-energetic Reality: What you need to know

The world is changing around us. But we are changing with it. How we are changing depends upon us. The amount to which we dedicate our efforts to shifting our conscious perception of the world determines the quality of our mental and spiritual clarity. This clarity is the lens by which the events that are occurring at the global scale as well as those occurring at the personal scale must be interpreted and internalized.

Understanding the bio-energetic reality within which we operate on a daily basis is a necessary part of knowing the time. It must first be internalized and known at a cellular level that we are all connected. That quantum entanglement is real and that all quanta, sub-atomic particles, atoms, molecules and cells comprising our bodies, all bodies, everywhere, are connected. This is scientific fact.

As our bodies are comprised of the very stuff of this planet, we are a composition of elements that reflect that of our parent-body, Gaia. We are each energetically connected with the Earth which is, in turn, intimately connected to nearby planets and our sun. Our Solar System is energetically connected to nearby solar systems and the greater Milky Way Galaxy of which we are a part, which is connected to its parent-Galaxy, Andromeda.

The human body is a micro-scale mirror of the macro-scale reality that we exist within. Humanity can be considered to be independent organisms inhabiting Gaia much as viruses and bacteria can be considered independent organisms inhabiting our bodies. The revolution of Gaia around the sun can be compared to an electron orbiting a nucleus within an atom. The rotation of our solar system and others around the galactic core can be compared to the movement of atoms within molecules and cells and those within bodies.

That which determines the movement of all things is energetic in nature. The integral relationship of the cosmos is resonance. Resonance is vibration. Everything is in motion. Everything that we can perceive is an effect of motion. Solidity, or matter, itself represents varying rates of vibration. Those things that seem physical and present are merely slowly vibrating materials. That which vibrates at a higher rate appears materially as being ephemeral in nature. Regardless, all is an expression of energy.

We live and interact within an electromagnetic sea of energetic impressions and we each possess, surrounding our body, a very specialized and form-specific biome of a certain shape and size. There are many traditions that explain the different layers and parts of this omni-dimensional vital body but it can simply be denoted as being both orb-like and geometric, having linear and non-linear components.

This field is interactive and contributes to our sense of the world at a conscious and unconscious level. The higher the clarity of perception of the individual the more in tune she is with her field and the information that it is constantly processing.

It is possible to work with this field and many do so through numerous means. Acupuncture, Reiki, pendulums and dowsing are some methods that may be relatively familiar. There are also many individuals who work with energy intuitively, performing healing and clearing functions upon the energetic body for themselves and those they work with.

Energy is an expression of consciousness. All energetic forms possess a type of consciousness. From crystals, to water, to animals and plants, to people. There are also forms of sentience that exist apart from the material reality that we inhabit. Different cultures have interacted with these alien perceptive fields in different ways over time. They have been called different things. Ghosts, Ancestors, Demons, Angels, Fae, etc. There are many references currently in all spiritual and religious traditions that discuss these entities and their interactions with humanity.

Because there are so many different types of sentience and because humanity has been interacting with these forms of intelligence since our inception as a species we have varying qualities of relationship with them. Some are beneficial to human development while others are not. Some are highly interactive while others are not. Some display higher rates of vibration and others do not.

They exist materially above the human visual spectrum in the ultra-violet and beyond and below the human visual spectrum in the infra-red and beyond. Individuals across time and tradition have been able to access expanded human abilities in order to be able to sense these energetic bio-forms. Because these entities have interacted with humanity since our birth as a species, there is often a certain proprietary air or sense of possession that can be detected in the patterning of inter-species cooperation we have had with them over time and across space. This sense of energetic entitlement can come from the extra-dimensionals or the human(s) involved in the interaction, depending upon the context. But, most often, the sense of superiority generally emanates from the party possessing the greater capacities of discernment and influence over the ambient energetic balance comprising the interactive instance or continuum.

The current state of interaction between humanity and these higher and lower forms of sentience reflects the times.  Increased ambient energetics have resulted in a corresponding increase in interactions which has led to a heightened awareness of these entities within the human mass consciousness. As planetary, solar systemic and galactic movements culminate in an alignment of energetic potentialities commonly understood as the 2012 Transition Period more and more individuals are becoming aware of the nature of these interactions as well as the entrapment modalities these entities have implanted into lower 3D reality from higher and lower dimensional levels of resonance.

As the compromised state of humanity rises closer and closer to mainstream consciousness human awareness collectively vibrates at a higher rate. Individuals register this higher vibration through bodily sensations such as pain, fatigue, strange aches and heightened or lowered senses of perception. How we each experience these energetic shifts is dependent upon the clarity of our individual awareness. The extent to which we have cleared the mental and egocentric detritus that we gather during the course of our lifetimes and that obscures the innate clarity of the Self, that intermediary lens through which our higher Self interacts with the 3D material environment, determines how clearly we see the one reality extant beneath our individuated and egocentric perceptions.

We are also subject to attachments, inserts and implants that serve to limit our inherent spiritual potentiality. Some of these foreign installations occur by chance encounter while others are purposeful. Directed efforts within the context of a religion, spiritual tradition or energy-working modality can remove many of these impediments once their presence is detected.

Attachments are generally spiritual in nature and happen when, in the course of daily living, higher or lower resonant entities are attracted to our energetic bodies for whatever reason. They attach themselves to us and accompany us through our lives, insinuating themselves into our waking and dreaming consciousness at the level of sub-vocalization and emotionality, sometimes – depending upon their nature – siphoning our energetic resources and subtly influencing our paths for their own sustenance and fulfillment.

Inserts are more diabolical in nature as they are reflective of the oppressive energetic and vampiric matrix of control that currently suffuses the planetary mantle, crust, lower and higher atmosphere at different vibratory levels. Inserts also exist within our astral energetic bodies. They are conscious programs that affect our physical, mental and emotional states. These foreign installations are situated often for the dual purpose of controlling spiritual development and siphoning chi, prana or kundalini-type energy. They can be placed at different loci within astral or multi-dimensional template layers depending upon the character of potential or outcome that entities wish to compromise, block or harvest.

Implants are actual, physical devices that are placed at different locations in the body. When removed and examined by specialists they are often determined to be of a very high technological character. These devices are often inserted by what are generally considered to be extra-terrestrial beings, but are actually inter-dimensional and often non-physical entities who take on physical characteristics in order to interact in 3D space. Implants, like inserts, also serve to control an individual’s spiritual development and capabilities as well as regulate their personal energetic environs for purposes that serve the needs of the non-physical entities controlling the implant. These needs are often concerned – as with inserts – with the compromising, blocking or harvesting of certain potential outcomes or vitality.

It is important to understand and internalize the reality that humanity is in essence an expression of Divinity manifest within materiality in order to experience. Through experience, evolution. The Falls of Eternity express the mechanics of that expression while our individuated lives reveal the purpose. As manifest shards of the infinite and eternal unity we understand as the Divine, intention and will are paramount.

What this means energetically is that we are the ultimate decisions-makers in any perception of reality that we participate in. In other words, nothing can be done to us without our express permission. Understanding that there are levels of knowing within this statement is realizing what the Self is, recognizing the impact of karma, of reincarnation, of pre-life agreements, of the Higher Self and the Avataric self, of taking control of your life and determining a plan that reflects your desire for a free-will existence beyond the layers of the control matrix.

Choosing true freedom and spiritual sovereignty is no small or easy task. Choosing to take control of your destiny by seeking enlightenment and life beyond boundaries is choosing the pathless path, written in the sky and stars.

But that is a conversation for another day.

Moving beyond Limitation: The integration of darkness and light

Samadhi is described in Buddhist tradition as the awareness of Self transcending thought, and refers to the state of perfect stillness reached by the meditation practitioner through which deep insights into reality can be obtained. Samadhi exists beyond duality, beyond the confluence of the material world and the dichotomous presentation of light and dark by which we interpret the vagaries of experiential living contextually.

It is believed by some that the state of Samadhi is an end in and of itself. An experience of Oneness, of Unity, beyond which there can be nothing further. In addition, that the goal of meditation is to reach this perceptive modality and to abide there in perpetuity, beyond the necessity of interacting with the material world in any fashion other than procuring food and drink to sustain the basic functionality of the body for the purpose of continuing engagement with the higher states of transcendent BEing.

While the state of Samadhi is a necessary step in the training of the mind and reclamation of the body’s natural ability to engage disparate capacities of the spirit to enter and explore alternate realms of existence, the total denial of the body and material existence in favor of a dependent and illusory preoccupation with transcendent meditative states belies the very purpose of existence as set forth by the Buddha himself regarding the 4 Noble Truths – the Middle Path – and the 8-fold  Path.

The fundamental contradiction of following a spiritual path while living a material life is well known in all traditions and walks of life. The high aspirations of spirituality set forth prescriptions and commandments regarding the qualities expressed by those who exemplify the highest vision of the religious system, Buddha and Jesus are two clear and popular examples.

And yet, what is not formally recognized and accounted for in these traditions is the necessity of the human entity to encompass all forms of material existence and to experience all desires native to her or his incarnate character in order to bypass and transcend them, thereby moving up into a higher state of consciousness and vibratory BEing-ness. Until an individual has fully experienced something to their total satisfaction they will continue to seek it. A man will continue to watch porn until he’s had enough, an addict will continue to do drugs until she’s had enough, emotional addictions will continue to obscure clear discernment and thought processes until the individual has had enough. It is only at this point that it is possible for anyone to put aside a behavior in order to embrace a higher form of existence. An ethical nature cannot be faked. It must originate from within the individual which will result in its manifestation in his or her words and deeds.

Underlying the formal philosophical traditions and religious systems that currently enjoy primacy across the world lies a pervasive energetic reality that lends expressive potentiality to these systems and forms the very basis of their potency and re-connective capacity to that greater or deeper experience of reality upon which all of our individuated and subjective perceptions depend.  This sub-stratum is infinitely malleable and suggestive, sensitive to thoughts, feelings, impressions, resonant to intention and will and the very stuff of creation employed by each of us in our moment by moment experience of this super-reality through the lens of our subjective interpretations.

This energetic reality is accessible by individuals through different modalities. In the formal religions, the Word, Logos, as the manifestation of original causation, acts as the tool by which sound resonation as energetic inflection and directive motive force shapes potentiality into prescribed formulations commiserate with the spiritual system in question. Christians and Muslims intone certain prayers, Buddhists do the same. Individuals repeat affirmations or mantras, subtly affecting their reality in the context of the greater shared reality imposed upon them by their chosen paradigm through which the greater reality is codified and manifest.

In these formal religious systems, individual initiative is not generally prescribed for the majority of practitioners past prayer, supplication or exhortation of the Divine. The wisdom traditions of these systems, on the other hand, allow for a greater experiential understanding of the super-reality. For Christians it is Gnosticism, for Muslims, Sufisim. For Judaism it is Cabala. Other formal religious systems have their higher priestly sects and secret traditions available only to initiates and acolytes who take and maintain extreme vows of secrecy and fealty.  Any cursory examination reveals the underlying tenets these mystery systems share in common which approximate the greater energetic reality, prescribing methods commiserate with that specific religion’s culturally and societally interpretive energetic functionality.

Basic laws of energy and motion apply at the level of individuals and groups. Karma expresses a conservative interpretation of interactivity between people and their environment, the laws of motion apply to intent and will as expressed through action, reaction, the resultant consequences and ramifications. Whether individuals navigate life and its experiences by way of a religious tradition or of their own volition each thought and action contributes to this overall energetic interrelationship reverberating into both past and future through the medium of the eternal Now.

This realization, once internalized, reveals the absolute dependency of both extremes of the di-polar material and manifest reality. Good must be opposed by evil, light must precede dark. An action must result in a reaction, every initiative has a consequence, all energetic releases rebound, no matter their orientation. The actual mechanics of this systemic default defy common understanding as every good deed results in a bad one, every positive thought gives rise to a negative.

Understanding the state of the balance as represented by yin and yang where each aspect rises and falls accordingly necessitates a spatial and temporal viewpoint outside of manifest reality, looking back in. A good deed done 100 years ago may result in a negative occurrence 200 years from now. An evil done a year from now may result in a good that happened a thousand years ago. Outside of time, the balance is maintained beyond the ken of mortal understanding and incarnation-bound interpretations dependent upon time-strictures understood by the logical and limited mind.

Life is for the living. To spend it seeking skillful usage of certain sets of tools and then to not use those tools in the process of life is to put off their use till a later point. Lifetimes spent meditating in Yogic retreats in the Himalayas result in the re-birth of a Yogin as a skate-punk in Los Angeles, enlightened from a young age despite all logical protestations to the contrary. The current resistance of many to the indoctrinations of the formal religious systems reflect this understanding of reality as souls that have incarnated on this planet time and time again return now rejecting the doctrines of their previous lifetimes in favor of a more individuated experience of spirituality and life.

Young Rimpoches are overturning centuries-old Buddhist prescriptions, Christians and Muslims are increasingly seeking more integrative and tolerant expressions of their spiritual viewpoints in a world of ever-increasing diversity and conflict. The western New Age movement flowers with potentiality as individuals seek new ways to show reverence to the Divine, while, permeating it all, oppositional forces continue to divide and confuse, to insidiously cultivate fear and distrust, to subtle pervert or overtly lie in order to distract as many as possible from the life-giving Light and into the death-dealing Dark.

The understanding that this is the natural and normal state of BEing must be internalized. Acceptance of the world as it is must precede any real understanding of it, just as acceptance of the self, the ego-based personality construct, is necessary before any real understanding of the Self as a higher form of consciousness can proceed. Accepting the necessity of navigating the fields of light and rejecting all doctrines which attempt to gainsay individual will and initiative frees consciousness from the constraints of limitation and opens up the vistas of possibility to reveal an endless array of realities awaiting full manifestation.

Accepting full responsibility for individual spiritual evolution is a fearsome act of courage. Moving from a position of seeking a savior outside of one’s self to becoming one’s own savior is a liberating exultation of consciousness and oneness of BEing with all of Creation and beyond. God Without and Within as expressive of the truism, As Above, So Below, is the realization of Jesus’ exhortation to his disciples:

Psalm 82:6 – I said, “You are Gods, sons of the most high, all of you …”

John 10:34 – Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said you are Gods?’

Life is awesome. Each moment, magical, another tick off of an ephemeral clock counting down towards death. The terror of each breath taken in that context can only be allayed by a minimalization of conscious reverie, an unconscious acceptance of the illusion of immortality and a fixation upon anything that does not remind us that death awaits us all. By taking control of consciousness, exploring what lies beyond the material senses, it is possible to go beyond belief and knowing and actually experiencing the eternal and infinite nature of the soul. Fear dissipates instantly when consciousness is inundated within some aspect of the super-reality.

Accept the challenge of life and seek answers for yourself rather than waiting till Sunday or some other spiritual crutch to be told. Life is too short to waste another minute.

Art and Experience: The Social Compact and Creativity

To what purpose do we share? Why do we write, draw and sing? What do our continual manifestations of creativity have to do with the world of our experience?

It is understood that we exist within Creation, or, the Material World. The 3-dimensional world of our senses (sight, sound, touch), plus time, the 4th dimension. It is also understood that, from the perspective of consciousness (mind, spirit, soul), this Creation is also Maya, a sanskrit word for the illusory world of the senses or, again, the Material World.

As an artist, graphic, textual and aural, I create in sight and sound, according to my feelings and thought-processes at the time of creation. An idea may birth itself in me and percolate for minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years, and then come out as a beat, a song, a poem, an essay, a drawing, painting or graphic. It is indisputeable that, however that idea expresses itself upon leaving my thoughts and emotions and manifests materially upon whichever canvas I choose, the idea itself is not original, that it comes from some deeper well-spring that all humans share, which is what allows you to read what I write, listen to the words I sing or look at the picture I paint and feel something upon witnessing it.

My own, personal interpretation of a deeper Reality – as opposed to a surface reality – a deeper Truth – as opposed to a surface truth – that we all share, is what allows us all to resonate deeply to beautiful works of art, to empathize with an emotional song, or nod to words written which describe what we feel or think about something almost exactly. The closer you and I are in our backgrounds and cultures, the easier it is for me to translate those deeper currents of reality into forms that you can understand. The closer we are in immediate experience allows you to feel the emotional currents that may underly specific forms of expression, creating an immediate bond of sympathy that will transcend any other perceived differences.

But does that poem, that essay, that graphic, that song reflect what is Real? Or is it only a representation of something that is unreal? Is the work of art or literature meaningful beyond our experiences, or are our experiences the sum totality of our awareness?

Our experiences bind us not only to Creation, but also to each other. I used to always emphasize to my physical geography classes that our most fundamental and intimate relationship – post-birth – is not with each other, but with the world around us. We share Incarnation, as a human family, within the bounds of the Material World. We share, as a human family, the generic symbols and archetypes of collective unconsciousness. We share, as a human family, the range of emotions that cause us to smile or frown. We share, as a human family, the progressive and encompassing stricture of time and space. Therefore, we share, as a human family, all of the requirements necessary to create an illusion of reality that binds us, in turn, to the Material World.

So if this world is the product of a form of collective consensus regarding the nature and form of reality, what does that mean in terms of our expressions and the existence of a greater Reality? The double-slit experiment, which underlies and upholds the most basic assumptions of quantum physics has banished any doubt about the relationship of consciousness to matter. The act of observation changes the state of matter at the most fundamental level of aggregation, the quantum field. Mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter.

Or, if you don’t think it, it’s not real. We create reality in each moment, then. We co-create this reality by agreement. We are trained from childhood in the conditions of this agreement and by the time we are adults, it is mostly an unconscious process. If you have children, or remember your own childhood, you can recall the process by which it occurred: the constant bombardment of questions leading to answers that reflect very subjective viewpoints held in common. As we age, we find confirmation of these early lessons in our friends and society in general, which further solidifies our perceptions and views of the world that can harden with age unless we consciously cultivate a mindstate of questioning, seeking and an openness to new ideas and experiences. The natural creativity of children becomes stultified, their opinions and viewpoints grow more rigid as the world loses its magic.

In fact, that selfsame creativity that we often associate with artists and the insane is the common birthright of all children. We think of artists as strange, eclectic and wierd because they don’t think like most people, because, generally speaking, they remain open to ideas and experiences. We don’t think of children as strange, eclectic and wierd because we associate their curiosity about the world and everything in it as a function of their youth and inexperience. Once children gain more experience, we expect them to settle down, to conform and to take on a more conventional and acceptable attitude that plants them firmly in the cultural ground tilled by their ancestors and elders, to themselves then become to propagators and protectors of our collective experience of reality.

As painters, as writers, as musicians, we play around with this experience of reality and find meaning in highlighting specific aspects of of our common heritage. We draw upon relationships, religion and social mores in our search for deeper meaning, using symbols and archetypes to awaken our deeper instincts and understandings of reality. And these, in turn, open the door into that deeper, underlying Reality, if only for the duration of that shared experience of art, music and writing. Being multi-dimensional in nature, we find comfort in the realization than we are more than the sum of our individuated experiences, in the knowledge that we share more in common with each other than that which binds us to our own lives and situations.

Life would be lonely without this ability, without this connection, the confirmation of which also substantiates our sense of belonging within the human community, the human family. We find comfort, then, in co-creating the illusion. In the telling and sharing of our stories, in whatever form, as our distant ancestors did as they huddled around the tenuous fires of primeval humanity, set against the encroaching darkness of an unknown and dangerous creation that threatened our very survival as a species.

The illusion is the necessary condition of incarnation. Art reminds us that we are in it together. Artists are the spiritual warriors of the Material World, pointing us back to that which is true beyond our own experiences. Confirmation that there is more, and that, whatever that “more” really is, we are an integral part of its expression.
