Bespoke Organisms: Centaurs, Minotaurs and Fauns, Oh My!

“In short then, the synthetic biologist seeks to build a bespoke system (such as an organism) by re-designing an existing system or constructing one from scratch using parts taken from nature or specially designed. This approach can lead to organisms, networks and systems with properties not found in nature (such as bacteria that produce spider silk or cells that change colour when they divide).” ~ Synthetic Biology, The Royal Society

The way is clear, then. Using discipline-specific terminology, the transgenic agenda is laid bare, the work of centuries of scientific endeavor now enshrined in US law by the recent decision by the Supreme Court to clear the way for companies to create biological organisms through synthetic means that, for all intents and purposes, are living creatures made from copies of the genetic structure of natural beings.

This hearkens back unto the days of mythology, no longer just the febrile dreams of the fantastic indulged in by opium addicts and mescaline fiends, but instead, endorsed and corroborated as factual reality by science and the highest courts in the land. For the biotech companies, the implications are enormous. Cyborgs and highly specialized organisms of the animalistic persuasion, pumped full of synthesized human genetics to add intelligence, nominally employed as sub-human servants conditioned to the will of their Corporate Masters.

The potential for abuse is obvious, as is the potential for the genie of organic life to be released from its lamp and create an entirely new class of species that are ‘synthetic’ in nature, but whose genome is a mixed potpourri of animal, plant and human, designed for very specific purposes. These purposes can include the militaristic, the economic, the social. The sky is no limit and the febrile imaginations of the insane masterminds bent upon playing God leave no heresy unturned in their search to transform the world into their version of utopia.

The popular preoccupation with cyberpunk culture, artificial intelligence (AI) and computers that may take over the world and destroy humanity, as put forth by the mainstream media and the movie industry in recent years seems in this context to be a diversionary tactic, designed to divert people’s attention from the real agenda, which will result in the creation of a class of beings that are, arguably, non-human and, therefore, inferior and naturally subservient to humanity.

How would you feel about purchasing a servant, a quarter-dog, for servility and loyalty, a quarter chimpanzee, for dexterity and strength, a quarter arachnid, so that it might have four arms, and a quarter purple pansey, for a nice, brilliant coloration, designed specifically to your taste? How about a talking dog or cat, to keep you company on those cold winter nights? Or spider/moth hybrids that can knit you the clothing of your choice in no time flat?

Sound like a dream? A fantasy? A terrific nightmare of insane proportions?

It is all of the above.

And it is the future.

2013 and Beyond: Conscious intention and growth

At the end of 2012, many people felt let down. The general consensus seems to have been that the hype surrounding the year had been overblown and many of the predictions and prognostications that had been proffered by prophets and scientists alike had come to naught. People seemed to feel let down, as if they’d been lied to. And yet, while foums and articles the Net across agreed that 2012 was not all it cracked up to be, a quiet revolution in consciousness not only found its space of becoming, but metastasized at the collective level, resulting in an even further weakening of institutional and cultural structures of societies the world across.

Since the shift of December, 2012, the economic and cultural structures of the Western world have continued to buckle and signs of imminent collapse continue to increase. The economic situations in Europe and the USA continue to reveal dire signs of structural deficits that must result in market corrections of up to 90%, which augers a world-wide depression at an almost unimaginable scale. Within societies, the youth and the minority populations continue to experience unemployment rates at unsustainable levels, resulting in an increasing coalescence of purpose as the realization that the systemic instabilities are not ending, but getting worse, becomes more and more undeniable. The cultural propensities toward overt and extreme forms of violence and sexual expression have become mainstays and have resulted in a definitive split in the population between those comfortable in such a world and those who are not. The mainstream media concentration on faux-news and reality-based television continues to distract populations from the visible changes in the natural world occurring without pause from the wild weather to the increasing earthquakes and the continuous pollution of the environment. For those not caught up in chasing after illusory lifestyles of the rich and famous, it is becoming more and more apparent that, in 2013, the changes, rather than decreasing in severity, are instead increasing. The non-sustainability of the current economic and societal model of governance is being revealed day after day.

In 2012, many doomsday prognosticators brought world-wide attention to ideas such as magnetic and geological pole shifts, potential solar storms of unimaginable intensity, mega-storms and environmental catastrophes of world-wide scope. Channelers spoke in the voices of Ascended Masters, Angels and Demons, aliens of the Grey, Reptilian and Nordic variety, all speaking of the coming changes, of the need to cultivate spiritual practices conforming to their own set standards and dependent upon their help as our extra and ultra terrestrial and dimensional bredren and sistren. The call was to look outside of ourselves for salvation, to seek such in the stars and in the disembodied voices of entities who professed a greater technological and spiritual advancement than that enjoyed by mass humanity. Many heeded these calls and engaged in meditative exercises and visualization techniques of questionable origin and purpose, giving their allegiance to what were basically unknown quantities, unseen and mysterious helpers, self-titled guides and professed friends of the planet and its people. At the end of 2012 and into 2013, the chorus of the disappointed and the angry increased their tone of stridency and rejection, resulting in an overall silencing of the channeled voices and the dismissal and blacklisting of those who spoke for the unseen.

In these early months of 2013, much that was on the table in 2012 remains. Tales and sightings of the giant planet Nibiru have increased again, asteroid fly-bys and meteorite strikes are monthly and weekly occurrences while UFO sightings and close encounters of every kind continue to garner attention. The channelings have returned to some semblance of prominence their calls for allegiance to their forms of spiritual progression, alien agendas to include planetary, sub-surface, solar systemic, extra and ultra-dimensional agree that the prophesied changes are now upon humanity and its home planet, Earth. Government and Elite shenanigans have taken over the news presses of the alternative community with the Pope’s resignation and the continuing flight of the Elite from the public scene. Economic turmoil and political infighting continues to sharpen in tone and implication as some turning point seems to be arriving, at which the financial tsunami predicted for so long must indeed arrive upon the shores of prosperity for the few and hopelessness for the many. Depending upon individual standing within the system as it currently is, the alternative community vacillates between feelings of going along to get along and outright revolution against the system and its controllers.

While the majority of the world’s population continues to experience the depredations of this predatory capitalist system and must seek ways to survive daily, those in the Western countries who live under these systems of socialist and materialist comfort are free to prognosticate upon current events while barely hanging on to what little worldly comfort they may have, in part conforming to systemic requirements for their tacit approval and continued consumer support and in part leaning toward the understanding that for things to change for the better for all of humanity, they themselves will have to undergo some form of material deprivation.

That thought of material deprivation is where the fear lies. Where the unwillingness to truly challenge the system is revealed to be an unwillingness for things to truly change. It is true that no one wants to be deprived of the basics of survival. But those basics of survival are actually much more basic than many people are willing to accept for themselves, regardless of the fact that many of the world’s people are currently living in a manner that most in the West would find shocking. Having barely enough to make it through the days. Making each day a struggle for survival. Finding food and water, a place to live in comfort and relative safety.

And so collaboration with the system is implicit within the form of living most of us accept daily. By our very engagement with society we are continually forming it and perpetuating it and its ills. By being consumers we are feeding the corporations, contributing to the Executive bonuses, paying for their mercenary armies and their hoards of lobbyists and payroll scientists. By our very engagement in what we deem to be our necessary choices for survival, we build upon the foundations of predatory social and economic institutions ancient beyond memory and designed for the benefit of the few, rather than the many. The underlying paradox is that we are contributing to our own demise. That we are supporting a way of life that seeks to murder us. The food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath are all laced with chemical cocktails inimical to our biology and yet we ignore this reality or chalk it up to our just due, perhaps as a form of self-immolation for the oft consciously unacknowledged understanding that we each are indeed complicit within this suicidal endeavor called Western civilization.

So where does that leave us? What are our options as beings of conscious intention choosing life over death, the holism of a world-wide unity paradigm over the separatist death culture of the current world?

The world is shifting almost faster than can be remarked upon. Each day, new signs of increasing entropy and chaos are revealed, that unquestioning faith in the structures of society and its inevitable continuance is being replaced by a pervasive doubt and burgeoning fear that stability in any form is a thing of the past. The changes that are increasing at a seemingly exponential rate give rise to an increasing abandon on the part of the youth and the dispossessed, it seems that society is breaking down, at first around the edges, but increasingly toward the center and this produces an ambient wildness and visceral sense of potentiality that has revealed the doorway, or portal, from one paradigm of reality to another. That doorway remains vague and ephemeral for many just awakening to consciousness, but it is and has been a clear and present vision to those who began the work of awakening years or decades prior to this time.

The truest guides to and through this time are within. From that voice of confirmation or denial, when faced with new information, to that feeling of resonance or cacophony  when confronted with new potentialities, we have, each of us, an indicator of our own orientation and relative truth which either corresponds to or deviates away from the greater Truth of the Cosmos. The extent to which our truth correlates to that Greater Truth will determine our own paths through these times and what happens to us beyond them.

The good news is that our relative truths can be calibrated to Greater Truth. To do so it is necessary to be willing to question our most deeply held beliefs and hold them up as individual experience to be judged against collective experience. Is what I believe according to what others believe? Is what I know according to what others know? What was or is the orientation of those others? What was or is my own orientation? What kind of person, type of information, or spiritual practice is in my own best interest? What is the measure of success?  Who has succeeded with these methods in the past? Which part of these teachings are culturally relative, and which are cosmically absolute? These questions give rise to corresponding answers within ourselves, which we can then project outwards in our studies and attempts to find greater corroborations of our own truths with those of others. When doing so, it is also necessary to take into account the alignment of group-held truths with those deeper, universal truths that determine the course of nature, the planets and the stars. To examine ceremonial and institutional practices and determine for ourselves which ones are really for the good of our own spiritual progression, and which are for the good of others beyond us and, in that vein, determining our own alliances at the ultra-dimensional or extraterrestrial level.

It takes intense study often in order to find where that Greater Truth resides, but, again, our inner barometer of what resonates in our hearts and souls is a sure guide to finding the right direction to go in, in deciding what information to believe and what to cast to the side.  In all of this, our own personal progression can be measured by the changes we witness in our personality expression and also in how others experience us energetically. Am I still the angry person I used to be? Do I get upset at every little thing? Do people like to be around me? Am I still concentrating on non-essential things? Do my emotions ebb and flow with changing events? Am I more stable? Do others come to me for peace or conflict?

What kind of year do we want 2013 to be? Is it to be a doomsday event marked by fear, violence, hatred, world-wide warfare and cataclysmic challenges? Or is it to be a transformational event marked by understanding, peace, love, world-wide cooperation and transition to a new type of planetary environment? Odds are, it will be both, as this is a planet where people and groups of oppositional orientation meet and interact, engaged in the processes of spiritual growth and, sometimes, stagnation.

The question then becomes, what kind of year do you want 2013 to be?

What kind of year will you make it?

The answer will depend upon what you want and decide to make of yourself.

The Power of Words

Etymology: the study of the history of words, their origins, and how their form and meaning have changed over time.

It is very important that we use words precisely. Because words have meaning. But what is interesting about those meanings, is that words retain their original meaning, no matter what the new context or definition is. I’ll use a very difficult example, just to show the power of words and how the understood meaning can change over time, but how the original meaning sometimes subtly and sometimes grossly can influence the new meaning.

Nigger –> English –> Currently a derogatory or celebratory term used to either denigrate or compliment
Negro –> English –> Member of a black-skinned race of Africa
Negro –> Spanish, Portugese –> Black (as above)
Niger/Nigrum –> Latin –> Black, dark, sable, dusky, gloomy, unlucky, bad, wicked
Niger –> Ibo (W. African language) –> King; Niger-ia (also, N-ga) –> Queen; N-ger-s –> the Goddess Neggur (Hathor); Nugarmatta –> people of the Ghana (W. African) Empire
Naga –> Sanskrit –> Serpent deities in Hinduism and Buddhism; Aboriginal peoples of various Southeast Asian origins
N-g’r/Net-ger/Neter –> Egyptian –> God, gods and goddesses

In the context of Metaphysics, the words we choose to use to express ourselves are often indicative of where our level of understanding currently is. We are all ignorant, period. Lots of stuff we don’t know. Life is a learning process and we are Works in progress. Because English has loan words from many language, the difficulty in knowing the origins of all of the words we use is self-evident. But since words have power, and we often lend personal power to the terms we use through the channeling of our own emotional/pain bodies in the phrases, sentences and postings that we add to the conversations we engage in, the spells we create for and against each other are very clear to those intimately familiar with words and with casting.

Quantum biology supports the notion of entanglement through interaction, minds intertwining, interwoven and interacting. We are, effectively, reaching into others when we speak or write. When we read, we are bringing others into ourselves. As we consider ideas expressed, we are co-creating a current and shared understanding of a form of reality that is specific to the spells we are co-casting, to the Great Work of Alchemy, personal transformation in the spiritual sense.

The sovereignty movement has a correct understanding of the power of words. The Elite have a correct understanding of the power of words. Meta-physicians have a correct understanding of the power of words. Words spoken begin as discursiveness within the brain, the little voice speaking within, for some, a constant chatter, for others who have worked on it utilizing meditative techniques – and who have, perhaps, experienced Kensho/Satori/Enlightenment/Grace events – that discursiveness has been stilled to a greater or lesser degree, and so the words they speak are supremely effective to the extent that they always say exactly what they mean. No more and no less.

Words can work magic upon us, cast spells, when you read certain people’s writing, the precise, formulaic expression reads like a mathematical equation. When you read other people’s writing, it reads more like a stream-of-consciousness ramble. Neither of which is good or bad, they just are, but much of the bickering that we fall prey to comes down to either an incorrect reading of the words and a correct reading of the intent behind the words or the correct reading of the words but an incorrect reading of the intent behind the words. The key word in the preceding sentence is intent, which is important. That is where the power lies that imbues the words with energy.

If we are seeking to build something together, to create, to understand and move higher, together, then the intent will be clear and will infuse all conversations begun and carried out in this vein with a resonant vibratory frequency that will attract the kind of energy that contributes to individual and collective spiritual growth.

And vice versa. Being careful with our words should just be par the course. Understanding what we are saying and really meaning when we share is not only considerate of others but shows a strong sense of self-respect. The emotional/pain body – which is built and reinforced over a lifetime of experience interpreted through chemical and hormonal bodily programming – does indeed just get in the way. Clear communication is paramount, especially when speaking on topics of the utmost importance.

Understanding Consciousness: Part II

How does Belief affect Consciousness?

We are biologically programmed to believe. To know. Every thought results in electromagnetic conduits connecting and disconnecting, synapses forming pathways between neurons, forging the personality through experience and intent. The mind becomes whatever we think as our bodies become whatever we eat.

Convoluting the brain in this manner is normative. Even in rejecting belief we are forming a belief. Patterning the brain and its neural structures a certain way as opposed to another.

When we literally change our minds we change our brains physically. It is the way our bodies are set up to host consciousness. Part and parcel of the program. To not believe is a contradiction in terms. And yet, the paradox is that moving beyond belief and knowledge is the path. To change the mind, to change the biology to become perfectly clear is to change the state of consciousness. The correlation lies in the actual physiological shifts that occur in the body when modalities designed to clear the mind are implemented and integrated into a life, becoming the primary mode of expression. The new field of quantum biology explores the unity of mind and body and the physiology of consciousness.

While it is often entertaining and personally gratifying to obtain knowledge and hold beliefs there comes a point when holding on to the ephemeral, the constantly shifting, must give way to the search for inner peace. Returning to the paradox I mentioned above, knowledge flows easily and beliefs no longer hold the power to physically mold the mind once a state of mental equilibrium is reached. Of course many here are familiar with the practices concerned with achieving this state of being.

The important correlation here is the integration of body and mind. Leading to the understanding that this is all more than mere thoughts, word and actions in the colloquial sense of understanding those terms.

There is much more. The entanglement of minds that form institutions, attitudes, mores and norms, our interrelation to and entanglement with the biosphere. The speed with which our bodies change at the cellular level, the interaction of breath with the air and the environment, the passage of germs and viruses, the decomposition of biological matter and reintegration with the world corpus are all examples of the integration of individual and mass humanity with the Earth. The only separation inherent in our existence is the separation we create within our minds. The holistic nature of our entwined unity of consciousness and biology is no mere idea. It is the fundamental substrate of our very existence. Since that is so, beliefs cannot be subtracted from the corpus of cognition that we engage in and co-create every moment of every day.

Beliefs are an expression of consciousness, and the wide variety of beliefs speaks to the divergence of experience for the human family. Different sub-groups of the family hold differing beliefs, but the ability of all humans to access those cultural beliefs is a pale shadow of each individual’s ability to access the core experience of consciousness, which underlies belief and culturally-specific information. Understanding and relegating these beliefs to a supporting role and distancing them from the knowledge of reality that powers our experience of materiality enhances the connection with the deeper streams of material creation and the core aspects of the human biological interface with the world.

Understanding Consciousness: Part 1

Why and How We are Connected with All That Is

What is consciousness? From the freedictionary.com:

con·scious·ness  (knshs-ns)

n.

1. The state or condition of being conscious.
2. A sense of one’s personal or collective identity, including the attitudes, beliefs, and sensitivities held by or considered characteristic of an individual or group: Love of freedom runs deep in the national consciousness.

3.

a. Special awareness or sensitivity: class consciousness; race consciousness.
b. Alertness to or concern for a particular issue or situation: a movement aimed at raising the general public’s consciousness of social injustice.
4. In psychoanalysis, the conscious.
Thoughts are energetic emanations. Electromagnetic and expansive in nature, thought-forms as processed through the biological conduits of neurons and synapsesare the physical forms of creative communication. They can be measured and quantified. The brain’s biological mechanisms, from the amygdala to the thalamus to the pre-frontal cortex, are the structures by which it is wired to process thoughts and create emotions which provide a chemical momentum that powers not only the body but the non-physical energetic coalescence of presence and intent as well.

Humans are multidimensional entities. Consciousness is eternal, infinite and integrally connected to all that is. Quantum experiments have proven the validity of entanglement, which states that all matter in the universe and beyond is interconnected. The double-slit experiment proved that consciousness is an integral part of experience, that the observer cannot be separated from the observed. The existence of multiple dimensions of consciousness is now the general understanding of the nature of creation. All of these facets of scientific discovery are connected and provide a holistic understanding of reality that transcends ideas of a mechanical, objective universe and replaces them with an understanding of a universe, a multiverse, of synthesis, holism and oneness.

In such a creation, consciousness is the binding glue that connects the disparate levels. Humans contain the spark of divinity that connects them not only with all other humans but with animals, insects and plants too. The consciousness inherent in all life also is now beyond dispute, as the intelligence of animals and plants grows more and more undeniable. The ability to think, to reason, to love, to recognize danger and to communicate with each other with a range of emotivity previously relegated to humans alone have all been witnessed and documented as occurring in both the animal and plant kingdoms.  Canines and birds, crystals and fungi, flowers and whales, grasses and machines, viruses and germs all display aspects of consciousness. Humanity is far from alone in possessing the seeds of the divine, it is inherent in all matter, is a fundamental make-up of all of material creation, from the most inanimate to the most animate.

Beyond the material world, into the inter-dimensional darkness of the unknown, consciousness connects our 3rd-dimensional reality with other planes of existence as well. In the realm of psychology, the existence of a collective unconscious has been explored and confirmed, humans share symbols and archetypes across the diverse field of biological difference, no matter what part of the globe any individual or group might be from. This holistic field of shared consciousness can be broken down into cultural groupings, as those who share societal mores form smaller collectivities, still connected to the whole, but sharing individuated markers that make them distinct from the larger groups, to the extent that an individual is ensconced within a family collective that nests within a local collective that is also nested within a regional collective that exists within a national collective which is itself a part of a racial collective.

Understanding that consciousness is not unique to humanity opens the doors to deeper knowledge, prepares the mind for grasping the truths of existence that guide cause and effect upon their fateful courses for all of manifest creation. Communicating lovingly with pets and plants, screaming at breaking or broken machines, are ways of transmitting specific types of energy between different forms of consciousness. The types of energy that we communicate through our thoughts, words and actions determines the nature of our interaction with other forms of consciousness. When it comes to communicating to sensate creation, other denizens of the material plane of existence, emotions flavor our very essence, adding energetic impetus to the force of our thoughts, words and actions. Pets know when we are angry or sad, inanimate objects tend to perform or break coincident to our emotional state.

In the realm of experience, cause and effect also seem to be respondent to emotional states, as internal harmonic resonance often leads to positive life events and outcomes, while internal disharmonic resonance leads to the opposite. How and what a person thinks determines the trajectory of potential outcomes along their life-path. In the daily interactions of the awakened consciousness manifest, individuals embark upon vibrant and responsive patterns of thought and behavior, the holistic nature of their cognitive processes emanating outwards and affecting the world around them in all aspects. In the daily interactions of slumberous consciousness manifest, individuals embark upon repetitious patterns of thought and behavior, the fractured nature of their cognitive processes emanating outwards and affecting the world around them in all aspects. Alert and active participation with life is thusly the modus operandi of all those who have direct control over their thought-processes, words and actions. Sleepwalking through life is thusly the modus operandi of all those with no direct control over their thought-processes, words and actions.

Engaging consciousness actively can only occur if an individual understands the nature of reality. Coming to terms with the power inherent in full intentionality and living consciously awakens the inherent capacity of all humans to control the nature and content of their own minds, which in turn affects the people, the animals, the plants, the non-animate objects and extra-physical realities within which they exist. All denizens of materiality, the created world, must undergo a period of learning during their phase of existential interaction with the rest of creation, the final stage of which must be the harmonic and stable interrelation with all other forms of manifest reality. Moving past stages of fractious and unstable thought processes leading to fractious and unstable emotions, which then result in the vocalization and actualization through actions of such, is the goal of consciousness and the natural evolution of individuals and groups through adolescent stages of interaction to a more mature realization and manifestation.

Space Dust, the MSM and Spaced-Out Days

It’s a shame that the mainstream media (MSM) are not putting the pieces of the puzzle together for those who only get their news from the Television. Sure, they tell us about one super-storm. A sink hole filled with methane and other gases or an earthquake, if these issues are large enough to affect those in their primary viewership region.

What they don’t talk about are the new changes in the upper atmosphere and oceanic circulation that will be long-lasting. They don’t talk about the increasing earthquakes both around the pacific rim and on old, dormant faults, as well as the centers of crustal plates where there have been few historical quakes, located on micro-faults. They don’t talk about Sol-system (our solar system) moving into a new part of the galaxy with increased space-dust, feeding our sun, making it grow hotter, whiter.

Global warming on other planets in our solar system. But we are experiencing all of this all around the world. The experience cannot be hidden. Just not discussed together in the MSM as indicative of a larger issue.

Taken alongside the shift in consciousness currently in progress – which is directly caused by the electromagnetic and cosmic energy increase related to these extra-planetary events – resulting in the waves of unrest and change sweeping the world the way we experience these changes day to day seems so normal. We walk around in a spaced-out daze too often, in a state of cognitive dissonance as what we know conflicts with that which we don’t. Our experiences reflect the inherent confusion caused by these changes in very specific ways:

1. Emotional turmoil
2. Physical symptoms
3. Sleep problems
4. Increased perception
5. Life turned upside-down

The Ancients used to say, As Above, So Below. Our lives are referential of Everything Else. What is going on within each of us, is also going on without. There is only a problem when we don’t know what is going on within us. Then we only have a vague idea about what is going on outside of us. We may visit Doctors who examine our symptoms and prescribe medications to quell them. We may listen to Pundits who bloviate about the topics of the day ad infinitum in order to quiet our curiosity.

We undergo our quiet storms in quiet desperation not realizing that many people across the world are experiencing similar turmoil. We watch the news and shake our heads, not used to drawing the connection between what is going on in the Mid-east and what is going on at our jobs. Our increased irritability and Japan and China fighting over some small islands. The argument you had with your child’s teacher and the argument about education and charter schools.

Our personal energetic fields are inter-connected and our hearts send out magnetic vibrations at the resonance of its emotional state, affecting others. Individuals affect groups, groups affect communities, communities affect nations. The famous example of a butterfly in the Amazon flapping its wings and affecting the weather in New York City seems fanciful but is the same qualitatively as one person in the right position trying to make a change causing a war to erupt.

We are all in the “right” position. Each one of our lives has meaning. Everything we do is important, unto the smallest, most mundane events of the daily grind. Every choice, every decision leads to a course of action that furthers our destinies in the direction of our total and perfect free will expression. Consider our personal limitations, either by birth or circumstance, to mirror the limitations we see in the world around us. The world, as we are, is subject to a certain set of pre-conditions. The world, as we are, is evolving past those pre-conditions in order to manifest a new state of Being. The world, as we are, is changing.

What we individually perceive “out there” in the world around us is really an image we create based upon the limitations of our biology projected on the screen of our minds. We live our lives in our minds, the thoughts we think are the reality that we create.  Our brains create connections between different kinds of information to come to conclusions about the world and we live those conclusions through our decisions. If we are not exposed to as much information as we have access to, then our en-coding of reality is potentially less complete than we need it to be in order to interpret the world as correctly as possible.

The MSM doesn’t help in this regard. Therefore, it is incumbent upon each of us to inform ourselves above and beyond the means readily available to those who are satisfied with the entertainment industry gossip, political maneuvering, reality-based inanity and war-mongering.  There is too much going on to be consciously unconscious. To choose ignorance rather than knowledge.

There may come a time when the knowledge you find, where the connections you make beyond what has been presented to you in the MSM, may be important.  Go beyond what you currently know. Seek information beyond the mainstream.  Seek the truth behind the headlines. Find yourself in others.

Consciousness seeks itself both within and without. Find yourself, and in so doing, you will find the world.

Directed Consciousness: The resonation of material expression

Right now, everything is fine. Peace pulsates at the center. The radiance of calm and well-being exudes an aura of golden stillness.

Spiritual Life CoachingThis is not so because life is perfect. It is not because things are either good or bad. The reason has nothing to do with the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, the trials and tribulations of life. The reason has to do only with the fact that living in the Now creates a mental and spiritual space of presence and awareness. It is the total concentration of attention on the Present. It is the living consciousness of complete awareness.

This is not to say that engaging memory or considerations of the future do not occur. Of course they must, as the processes of living require them in order to navigate life and the world. As an example of directed consciousness, the recapitulation process is a mandatory practice in the resolution of a lifetime. This is also not to say that the emotions are stilled immediately, as they are connected to memory and considerations of the future and often arise spontaneously as the mental imagery and habitual sub-vocal discursiveness engage patterns of chemical release in the form of neuro-peptides cascading from the hypothalamus into the cells of the body, resulting in the bodily expression of mental stimuli. But as the habit of living in the Now evolves and deepens, the neural network begins to reflect the mental changes and the synaptic connection between axons and dendrites that form the network associations we call personality and the memory-based, experiential triggers and self-regulating emotional patterns, resulting in a qualitative rarification process that streamlines the physical structure of the mind in response to the new pattern of the thought processes.

The personal experience of this phenomenon may seem curious and improbable when compared to the typical pattern of emotional addiction and mental chatter that typifies the normative lived experience. But it is the natural evolution of directed consciousness and steady insistence upon mental and emotional control. The ability to direct consciousness and regulate attention is concentration. Everyone does it to a certain extent. Through the practice of physical and mental tasks that develop concentration mind control is facilitated. Art, music, sports and academics all require the development of the concentrative faculties in order to excel in these practices. Since most people have participated in any one of these exercises the states of presence and awareness that often accompany their successful and skilled expression may be somewhat familiar. The reality of living in a constant state of presence and awareness is the reality of living in the Zone.

No matter the state of mind, emotion or body, every moment is perfect. Sometimes it takes a conscious effort to realize this. Ceasing the constant mental chatter to access the infinite space of presence and awareness that underlies all and looking at situations and the world through eyes bright with the epiphanic wonder of directed consciousness reminds the limited personality construct that our default perceptive modalities are only a pale rendition of what is possible.

In the Now regrets fall away into oblivion, as do worries and fears. It becomes readily apparent that such are the illusions of imaginative dwelling, fed by the emotional maelstrom that becomes the personality construct’s default mind-state due to the habitual avoidance of the present moment. Societal forces are in large part responsible for the individual’s preoccupation with the external reality to the detriment of the internal reality. Societal norms and pressure from kinship and peer groups enforce conformity and adherence to patterns of behavior deviating only minimally from standard medians of expressive measurement.

The Voice from Nowhere

The pleasures of a life are many and fleeting but are as nothing compared to the ecstasy of life. The sublime experiences of the spirit are able to lift one from the midst of the daily grind, eliciting wonder and joy, giving a higher context to the purpose of living consciously and in search of the higher aspects of self versus the gratification of the lower. The juxtaposition of the physical and the spiritual is the cauldron of happiness and sadness we traverse through our experiences, the fixation of our attention and perspective alternating between the higher and the lower aspects of our lives. Navigating the Path between the two extremes requires discipline and dedication, mind control and emotional stability.

Life is both sweet and sour and it is designed to be that way. The Earth experience is not a garden of peace nor is it a war planet. It is both and neither, it is something more and something less. The more is the sum of its parts, the objective manifestation of all potentiality within a holographic material matrix of sensual inundation and psycho-spiritual bombardment that satiates the multidimensional requirements of evolving souls. The less is its relative and subjective nature, its tendency to overwhelm the senses and the mind, resulting in crass debauchery and physical enjoyment to the detriment of the higher senses.

Once you have experienced Oneness, the Godhead/Trinity, Unity, Source, directly and unequivocally, you are forever connected to it from that moment on. It lies behind every thought, it informs every relative truth, it denies all separation. It is the futility of living false lives, of telling lies, of being greedy, of serving the needs of self over others. It is pressing the internal button to turn on the omniversal multimedia presentation called Creation, to connect to it consciously, with the intent and purpose of complying with its directives, which represent the laws of energy conservation and movement at all levels of being. In all actuality, we are never disconnected from it – as it is our Home – but the inculcation of an egoistic personality complex and the mental structures of time and space navigation combine to obscure the deeper currents of mind, where the still and placid immensity of All That Is flow unendingly, ever available to those willing to let go and let God.

The pleasures of life lived for the senses are a mere distraction from the deeper pleasures of spiritual awakening. Going beyond pleasure, beyond happiness, beyond the need for any sort of material gratification or emotional intoxication is the reward of the spiritual quest. Food, sex, violence and all variations and associated modalities satiate the sensual, those whose highest aspirations are material gratification and that is as it should be, as life takes all types and we all co-exist at different levels of understanding and experience. But for those traversing these dales of lustful travails they pale quickly, the call ever heard to seek higher, go deeper, expand vision and experience wider. The quiet whisper of Truth promising something more, something amazing, something lasting, something real. And yet, paradoxically, it is the moderate experience of both sides that reveals the true meaning of life.

Complying with the directives of Creation is following the voice from nowhere, the one that speaks without sound. Learning to still the mind and cultivate the quietude of inner peace. Existing in the Now when necessary, recognizing the Crossroads moments and embodying purest Self in response, thereby fulfilling destiny and the highest potentiality of each and ever moment.

As humans on the journey of self-discovery it is necessary for us to be gentle with ourselves along the path. We will fail. We will backslide, meander, digress for a time, it is the nature of consciousness co-opted to alternate between sleeping and awakening for a time. But there will come another time when you will suddenly realize that you are awake more than you are asleep, that you are conscious of your path and purpose and you are actively manifesting the actions necessary to embody your truest expression of Self as only you can.

But to get to this space of Being one has first to begin the journey.

The gratifying reality of real spiritual advancement is that as you initiate your conscious and directed journey to realization you become aware of the existence of certain markers and signposts along the way. There are traditions that inform the seeker about roadblocks ahead or pratfalls to be traversed. Holy books filled with the wisdom of the ages and oral traditions cached with the truth of eternity. Continued immersion within spiritual themes contributes to control of the mind as contemplative practices such as meditation and prayer rarefy the mental space, making it a fitting abode for the Divine. As the mind purifies, the thoughts purify, as the thoughts purify so do the words and, as a result, the actions.

Jesus can get you there, as can Buddha, as can Muhammad, as can Eckhart as can Blavatsky as can so many others. The understanding that surpasses sectarian subjectivity and cultural relativity is the realization that all speak of the same underlying reality by way of differing perspectives. We each take on the perspectives that are comfortable to us. All who follow the path sincerely and with dedication will arrive at the same goal eventually. The path is an inner one and the religious traditions all possess the keys that will unlock the gate. Choosing to unlock the gate is choosing to integrate the higher and lower natures and to accept life as it comes, forgoing the dependency upon the physical nature to solve our problems and determine our goals in life. Getting past impatience and anger, jealousy and greed. Cultivating patience and tolerance, compassion and altruism. Becoming a complete human being, squaring the circle and enlightening the consciousness.

A Spider’s Life: On the necessity of a perspective shift

It’s often very easy to lose perspective.

Our thought patterns and emotions are often so repetitive and so bodily overwhelming that we become mired in thought patterns of self-imposed suffering, flights of inpure fantasy and imaginative armaggedons that threaten life as we know it daily.

In recently working to strip and repaint a century-plus old building, I kept maiming and killing insects. Small, anonymous spiders that would rush out of the way of the broom, sanding paper, steel wool or paint scraper, frantically seeking safety from my invasion of their territory. Think about it:

This is my home. Of my dozens of brothers and sisters, I found this place. Small, dark. Food comes, sparsely lately. The cold is coming. But I have my home. Today …

My transgression resulted in pure fear, rushing adrenaline (or the spider’s equivalent of such), sometimes dismemberment, and death. For what reason? From the spider’s perspective, I was death itself, come calling. Out of the blue a massive, inscrutable invasion of not only their home but their body as well, initiating fight or flight but quickly becoming flight alone as the sheer incomprehensibility and massive size of my tools, body and presence made any perceived resistance on their part not only futile but impossible. What must those insects last moments have been like?

Not like this. Why?

We are often like that. Awoken from our waking dreams by events, inscrutable and immense that seem to sweep into our lives and change everything. Events that seem to have arrived from nowhere and that just as quickly disappear somewhere leaving our lives shattered beyond repair. If we are lucky enough to survive it with only dismemberment or personal turmoil we are left contemplating what happened to us, often re-centering our repetitive thought patterns around a new fulcrum and repeating the same pattern of dwelling and tumultuous emotional intoxication that reinforces the energetic perceptual miasma within which we conduct our lives.

The insects had no greater knowledge of my purposes. They had no idea I was repainting cleaning off old paint, no conception of my motivations for doing so or the larger societal structures that put me in the direct position to impact their lives. Similarly, we as humans of a broader but still limited perspective have very little idea about the reasons why certain events happen in our lives. We are not cognizant of the forces that brought them in to play at the societal and planetary level, at the solar systemic, galactic or cosmic level.

In the face of this kind of ignorance, the subjective siren song of the body and its needs consume our thoughts and direct our actions. The two brains, the one in our head and the one in our stomach, combine to send impressions, feelings, cravings and random bodily sensations to our consciousness which has to deal with those plus the functions of the higher mind that leave us lost in the past and future as our bodies navigate the Now for us, more or less successfully, given our penchant for distraction. Given the state of modern Western society and the physical and psychological ills that affect many of its inhabitants it should not come as a surprise that perspective is difficult to inculcate and retain.

Perspective in this instance does not come from centering consciousness in the body. As stated earlier, the body is the focal point of the emotional brew, in turn affected by the deprivations and delights of the sensual world. Food or the lack thereof, water, drugs and alcohol. The more we reside within our bodies the more apt we are to be distracted by it, hence the exhortation in spiritual systems the world across to come out of the body and seek one’s true center in the Divine.

Does a spider know God?

My web, my life, perfect geometric construction of fractal reality, my senses attuned to the sun, the wind. The exhilaration of the hunt, the sweet nectar of life slowly drained from my Food, sustaining me. Moments, hours, hanging, waiting, meditating upon Being with no future and no past, only Now. My web thrums …

From the perspective of a Human Being, do we know God?

The sense of clarity and presence resultant in living life amidst the predators and the saints with a perspective moored beyond either extreme of the spectrum is a mirror reflection of the clarity and presence attuned to when consciousness is centered beyond the body and within God. God in this and every instance being commiserate with Source, the Creative Void, Pure Consciousness, Love, Home. Like a still pool reflecting the sky above, impressions from the world are like single raindrops falling to disturb the peace of stillness, reverberating, rippling outwards to manifest as signs of struggle and suffering in our lives. The process of training the mind to retain that inherent stillness is the process of creating within yourself a receptacle for the expression of the Divine upon the physical plane.

The perspective of the Divine is beyond pain. It is beyond petty needs and desires, it is beyond jealousies, envy and greed. Since my spider friends and teachers are in direct and constant commune with the Source of All That Is without the distractions that we humans are bombarded by for much of the days and years their return to that essence and final goodbye to their bodies and this world were without the kind of turmoil that humans, when faced with imminent death, are subjected – by their fears – to. The religious and culturally-derived fear of death that permeates our present milieu is a direct result of the loss of that direct and constant commune with the Source of All That Is.

The perspective of the Divine is that there is no Death. Living life honoring the body and the biological by not consciously seeking to terminate life is fulfilling a higher purpose. And yet when death occurs no matter the circumstance,  it is a perfect reflection of causes and results and levels of higher aggregation generally too abstract and multi-dimensional for our conscious minds to encompass. As chaos theory posits the effects of a leaf upon a hurricane, so each thought, word and action affects our lives and lives beyond ours at a level of interconnection that defies explication. And yet, it is, these things are.

And so we must shift our perspectives to find peace and clarity amidst the ripples, hurricanes and circumstances of life. Look past the body and its needs, society and its needs, to a higher cause, a higher affinity, a higher responsibility. The responsibility that we each have to each other, to Life, to Creation, to God. As individual shards of consciousness distilled from the multiversal brew our singular lives have purpose and meaning in the constant and never-ending evolution of All That Is, but that meaning is contextual to your meaning, to her meaning, to his meaning, to our meaning. Alone, we are units, while together we create a whole,  co-existing in all possible permutations of probability, enacting and enjoying this thing called life.

True Awakening: The conservation of energy

What do you see when you look at me?

A soul, incarnate.

What is the meaning of this flesh and blood?

A life, lived.

What am I, really?

Experience made manifest, energy entombed in blood and bone, materialized through time and space.

Each of us has our stories. Every soul incarnate has a lesson and a context within which to learn it. All lessons are one lesson and that lesson is to conserve energy. The conservation of energy is a material energetic law, but it is also a spiritual law. No matter what tradition that you examine no matter where it is across the world, you will find that this law heralding the conservation of energy as the epitome of human development is enshrined at the core of every religion and at the heart of every moral and philosophical code.

It might be nigh unrecognizable depending upon the tradition and the ceremonies and rituals encrusting its veneer, ranging from obscene displays of material wealth to obscure and byzantine chants and incantations all designed to mystify knowledge and the truth of existence that lies within every heart, within every soul, available to whomever delves deeper than the diversionary meanderings of the egoistic personality complex masking as Self. But it is there.

That which I describe simply as the conservation of energy can also be termed Enlightenment. Spiritual awakening.  These days there are many who claim themselves Awakened because they have learned about some of the obscure and relative truths of our world society, or have come upon some of the hidden properties of reality. The term Awakening has been misappropriated to stand for an understanding of the underlying political and economic strata that currently gird our mass media enshrined political and economic carnival masking as the enduring reality of our times. True Awakening instantly minimizes that understanding as trivial and a distraction. True Awakening is the conservation of all energy within a personal system, a human system, a body. True Awakening, or Enlightenment, is the realization that 99% of all thought, words and actions are unnecessary.

Awakening is conserving your personal energy. Not only that, but it is preparing the human body for becoming a portal for multiversal energy.

How can you describe Enlightenment as the Conservation of Energy?

The Awakened think, say or do nothing that is unnecessary.

How does one determine what is necessary and what is not?

By its alignment or non-alignment with the totality of All That Is.

But I’ve heard of and read about supposedly enlightened people who drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes or had sex!

Whatever was done was necessary in the instance of its doing.

But then, how can you tell who is Awakened and who is not if they are not bound by a code of behavior?

You will recognize them when you are in their presence.

Bodies possess energy signatures in the form of auric fields that surround the material form. As a life lived becomes honed in its fineness the energy pattern resonates at a higher and higher vibratory rate, causing that field to express different qualities as it spans the spectrum between the lowest vibratory reverberations and the highest. As energy is conserved and the egoistic personality construct becomes the tool it was designed to be rather than the Master it has become for most people, the all-pervading and encompassing energetic reality, or ultimate consciousness, existing beneath all of material reality shines forth and through the physical body. It becomes possible to literally feel the difference between one who is truly Awakened and one who is not.

There are many who have studied the texts of different religions and spiritual traditions long and hard. They can repeat and synthesize and exhort and declaim spiritual truisms as if they were the deepest expressions of their souls and yet, when in their presence, the simultaneous feeling of lightness and gravitas permeated by beneficence and compassion that marks those who have experienced a true spiritual transformation is missing. The sublime knowing that makes life amusing, the twinkling sprite of love peering from behind eyes deep with the wisdom gained through an  intimate and direct connection with All That Is no longer sullied by the subjective passions and misdirections of the limited and fear-ridden egoistic mind.

The Awakened conserve energy naturally, it is not an affectation. Because they engage in no extraneous thoughts, they spout no extraneous words. Because they do not speak unnecessarily, they do not become committed to actions that do not need doing. Once a certain stage of spiritual development is reached, this occurs automatically and is not something that has to be practiced or remembered. The actual purpose of all religions, spiritual truisms, moral codes and philosophies is to mimic the natural modality that the Awakened live every second of their Awakening. Religions are practice. Grade-school instructions. Moral codes are guidelines describing how one behaves when one has become Enlightened.

How does one then become Awakened?

There are many instructions but only one Way.

Does one specific religion have the answer?

All religions have the answer.

Then why don’t more people become enlightened?

They do not choose to.

People are attached to the world. Religions exhort us to leave it behind, to follow the path of the spirit. But the world calls with all of its attractions. Love, vice, hate, envy, greed, material accumulation, karmic debt, all of it combines to create an intertwined and seductive array of stimuli  that distract a soul complex in lifetime after lifetime, expending energy unnecessarily in endeavors that tie us to one another and the world in an endlessly repetitive pattern of interactions. It is only when we choose to forego the attachment process whether that be to good or evil that we create the space within ourselves to contemplate what might lie beyond the many and varied states of material distraction.

There is, paradoxically, much work to do and no work to do.  Christ says one must become as innocent as a child to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, which is within. The Buddha spoke constantly of purity, which is the state of innocence. The state of an unburdened consciousness, of a life lived within the auspices of the conservation of energy, abiding by natural law at the material and interpersonal levels.  It becomes clear once one begins the intellectual study of the many religious traditions that to act in a moral manner is indeed conserving personal energy, as the destructive and immoral states of being can clearly be determined to be definitive states of unnecessary energy expenditure stemming from distractive and mistaken thought processes and emotional states initiated and carried out by the egoistic personality structure.

Which path is the best to follow?

The path that leads you to enlightenment.

Yes, I know, but which path is that?

The one that takes you to where there are no more paths.

This is so confusing. Could you please speak more clearly?

There is no real clarity at all until one has Awakened.

But how can I become Enlightened if it is not explained directly?

Only direct experience can provide you with the answer to that question.
