An Earth Day Reflection on the Time and the Choices Available to Terran Humanity

Currently, there are a number of alternate timelines playing about a Central Timeline that the majority of Terran-birthed Humans have chosen. That Central Timeline is centered around resolving the Age-old dramas that have resulted in the current constellation of potentialities within which we live our daily lives. It reflects the collective choice of all of us here regarding whether to proceed in a direction of nurturance and sustainability or one of continuing limitation and exploitation. The manifestation of these Timelines that are opening up the future of Terran Humanity to both negative and positive eventualities are equally distant – yet currently trended toward the negative – from the main timeline which is what we are all collectively co-creating and experiencing at the current Now moment and place across Time and through Space.

As things currently stand, Humanity is choosing to experience the reckoning that has been prophecied and mathematically predicted based upon past choices and directions made by individuals and the collectives they comprise. This is primarily based upon individual soul choices that have complied with the group soul choices made upon incarnating within specific bodies in specific times in specific places. What this means is that the dramas that are currently engulfing the planet are co-created entities of very particular psychic and extra-dimensional orientation and that these choices have aligned the planetary collective with certain ultra and extra-dimensional forces that are actively playing a role in making sure that these potentialities play out in real time.

The Moabite Centrix has held material control and maximum sway over collective orientation and technological advancement for centuries. Because of their firm hand and unbending direction toward the co-optation of Terran humanity toward the psychopathic and self-centric, the mainstream media and cultural orientation of the majority of the Western nations have chosen to follow the path of material accumulation and spiritual disslution. This meme has been spread across the planet and has now engulfed a large proportion of the Earth’s population, resulting in a planetary decision to experience negatively oriented realities to the exclusion of positive oriented realities in the near and distant Future.

Under the auspices of the New World Order, the collusion of the Earth’s population has been coaxed into following directives inimical to Gaia and to Life itself. These choices are exemplified by individual decisions each day toward a consumptive and dissolute lifestyle, material glorification and self-aggrandizement. Because of these individual choices, group choices have resulted in a toxic planet where the oceans are threatened by pollution, as is the Earth itself, the plants and animals and the atmosphere. These choices are not irreversible, but this path has reached a stage where Gaia herself, filled with love for her children of all persuasions and orientations, must soon make a decision that will determine once and for all the future of this planet and its accumulated populations.

Because of the nature of the Earth Garden and agreements made by the representatives of collective Humanity in the form of their political and military leadership, certain agreements were made with extra-terrestrial and demonic forces that bolstered their power and access to this plane of existence, this planets full spectrum of life, including plant, animal, mineral, etheric and crystalline. These conscious choices made with the sub-conscious collusion and trust of the planetary population have resulted in a Harvest Scenario, where Terran Humanity is now faced with potential Extinction Level Events that will leave the planet in the full control of extra-terrestrial and Dimensional powers and principalities.

While these negative external forces have been, to a large extent, given a mandate by the Elite, who represent the Earth’s population, to do what they will with the planet and its inhabitants, there remain certain strictures upon their rape of the planet that are in alignment with the Greater Laws of the Cosmos and Creation itself. Free Will remains paramount and societal and cultural memes that work generally at an unconscious level that require agreement are coming to the surface for more and more people to examine and choose to implement in their own lives or not. The influx of Cosmic Energy within the solar system during the current and past solar maximums and minimums have increased the consciousness level of Humanity as a whole which has allowed this potentiality to manifest. Still, the collective choice remains enslaved to the agenda of the Elite, which remains the primary timeline wherein their nefarious agenda is slated to play out to the detriment of Terran Humanity, the Solar System, the Galaxy and the Universe itself.

Everything is connected. Nothing in Creation exists in Isolation. Because this is so, the agreements made by Earth collectives that involve Extraterrestrial and Dimensional interlopers have tended toward the Negative expression of this visitation and assistance, rather than the Positive. As a result, those Extraterrestrial and Dimensional forces that seek to assist Earth humanity currently find it difficult if not impossible to impact the occurrences happening on the planet or to combat those negative forces currently engaged on the planet directly, or to land their ships on Earth in order to facilitate the Awakening Process through the revelation of Galactic Society and Terran Humanity’s inevitable inclusion within it.

Currently, Gaia and Earth Humanity do not support the assistance of Positive Extraterrestrial and Dimensional forces upon the surface of the planet. This is in part the decision of Terran Humanity, but it is also the decision of Gaia herself. It is a choice based upon decades of negative indoctrination. Since Humans on Earth are making the Free Will decision to maintain and support the fear-based memes of the Elite factions that control the economics and politics of the planet, Gaia has assented to its playing out upon her surface. This is not fully Earth Mother’s choice – in that she wishes only the best and highest of destinies for all of her children – but it is representative of her love for her children that she supports their decisions, to include all forms of life currently inhabiting and native to this planet. As a result, she is currently not allowing Positive ETs to land upon Earth. Also, she has limited the ability of Negative ETs to influence the direction the Earth shall take in any way further than the influences they have already had upon the Elite and their goals.

In essence, what it will come down to is a clear choice on the part of each and every conscious entity on the face of the Earth. There will come a moment, a point in time, when every single creature that lives on this planet will have to make a conscious and undeniable choice whether to implement the directives of the Elite, or to proceed according to Life-centric systems that nurture a space of Love that will engulf the planet and transform it into a paradise, relegating the Prison Planet meme to history. This moment may come when the Elite plans for Global War are on the cusp of fruition. It may come when the climate and environmental destruction reaches a stage where life on this planet is threatened with an Extinction Level Event. Or it may come at a point when the weight of sorrow, grief and terror give way to the transcendence of joy and peace that inevitably transforms that individual and collective emotional and psychic state into something never seen or experienced before in this reality or any other.

To reach that point, Terran Humanity will have to share a collective moment and experience where emotional connectivity crests, creating a super-wave of psychic potential that irrefutably represents the full will and desire of the majority of the planet. The strength and power of differential emotional states stand equal to their corresponding psychic potentiality, with positively-oriented emotions producing correspondingly tranquil and smoothly flowing energy patterns and negatively-oriented emotions producing correspondingly fractured and disrupted energy patterns.

The tendency of positive emotivity to overwhelm negatively-oriented emotivity plays its part as well, requiring fewer originating conscious participants than its oppositional emotional and psychic counterpart. If fear and hatred decide the day, then the future that so many have envisioned will manifest.  If love and empathy decide the day, then the future that less have envisioned, but that represents the most sustainable and evolutionarily positive potentiality possible will manifest, given the full weight of where we currently are and where we have come from.

These alternate Timelines, both positive and negative, are currently options that play about the subconscious level of awareness for most, influencing each moment and space of Becoming as a multidimensional collusion of consciousness involving each and every sentient being on the planet. As we traverse the days of our lives, each and every choice we make falls down on one side of this spectrum of opposites or the other, resulting in the often confusing and intimately byzantine and fractal-like meanderings of Fate and Free Will, determined and yet decided in each and every moment.

The combined burden of pain, guilt, suffering, love, compassion and empathy deserve a human-solution and a higher form of Justice beyond the levels of material incarnation and knowing, thereby resulting in a self-imposed planetary orientation of shared culpability and shared resolution.

The decision is ours and ours alone. What we manifest will be what we choose. And we will all know the moment when it arrives.

Energetic Portals, Personal and Collective Growth

There are energetic portals that occur as a result of space weather. In these portals, the influx of cosmic energy directly from space and funneled through the sun affects consciousness levels on earth and the rest of the solar system. It is during these times of openness that the Elite often schedule their energy rituals. It is their attempt to marshal the power of lower emotional states which are required at high population levels in order to affect mass consciousness. That lower emotional energy in the form of fear, anger or hatred exists at a fractured and unstable frequency and cannot travel like the smoother more stable frequencies of higher emotional energies like love, joy and compassion.

During the journey of awakening, there comes a point where it becomes possible for each of us to attain the ability to make a choice in that matter. To chose to be affected by collective emotional trends, or not. Depending upon your connection with family and friends, compassion for the world in general and orientation toward individual or collective growth, a conscious decision can be made to either lend one’s energy to certain emotional initiatives or not. The Heart-math institute and other meditation-based offerings are good examples of positive ways in which to direct these energies.

We are individuals but we are also a part of something larger. No matter how much individual work we do, we will always be a part of something greater than us. The Buddha did not want to teach Awakening but was coaxed to by a god. He didn’t think there were enough people on the planet that would ‘get it’. But because of that decision and those of others who have pierced the veil, the collective has benefited from the experience and initiative of individuals. While the journey towards individual awakening and heart-opening remains our individual goals, the process of doing so does result in a wave effect, whereby the immediate environment is affected and ripples of consciousness reverberate outwards from the awakened individual to transform the global consciousness as well.

Being awakened, one is therefore afforded a choice, which is also present for those who are more under the influence of theirs and others emotional states, but less clearly. A choice in how to direct personal energy. The longer the state is abided within, the clearer the synapses become, the more rarified the neural net of the mind, which begins to shine and emit purer and purer energy. Thought process clarifies and stills more and more as life becomes more a function of living in the now rather than over-thinking everything and dwelling in the past and future.

Taking advantage of the alignments of stars and planets and the solar system as it travels  through the galaxy by aligning one’s self with one’s highest potentiality during times when this energy makes that potentiality easier is an intuitive way of coming into attunement with natural forces and one’s body, both grounding one’s self in the Here and Now and, seemingly paradoxically, freeing one’s self from the limitations of the flesh.

These are exhilarating and bounteous times. I hope everyone is enjoying the ride!

2013 and Beyond: Conscious intention and growth

At the end of 2012, many people felt let down. The general consensus seems to have been that the hype surrounding the year had been overblown and many of the predictions and prognostications that had been proffered by prophets and scientists alike had come to naught. People seemed to feel let down, as if they’d been lied to. And yet, while foums and articles the Net across agreed that 2012 was not all it cracked up to be, a quiet revolution in consciousness not only found its space of becoming, but metastasized at the collective level, resulting in an even further weakening of institutional and cultural structures of societies the world across.

Since the shift of December, 2012, the economic and cultural structures of the Western world have continued to buckle and signs of imminent collapse continue to increase. The economic situations in Europe and the USA continue to reveal dire signs of structural deficits that must result in market corrections of up to 90%, which augers a world-wide depression at an almost unimaginable scale. Within societies, the youth and the minority populations continue to experience unemployment rates at unsustainable levels, resulting in an increasing coalescence of purpose as the realization that the systemic instabilities are not ending, but getting worse, becomes more and more undeniable. The cultural propensities toward overt and extreme forms of violence and sexual expression have become mainstays and have resulted in a definitive split in the population between those comfortable in such a world and those who are not. The mainstream media concentration on faux-news and reality-based television continues to distract populations from the visible changes in the natural world occurring without pause from the wild weather to the increasing earthquakes and the continuous pollution of the environment. For those not caught up in chasing after illusory lifestyles of the rich and famous, it is becoming more and more apparent that, in 2013, the changes, rather than decreasing in severity, are instead increasing. The non-sustainability of the current economic and societal model of governance is being revealed day after day.

In 2012, many doomsday prognosticators brought world-wide attention to ideas such as magnetic and geological pole shifts, potential solar storms of unimaginable intensity, mega-storms and environmental catastrophes of world-wide scope. Channelers spoke in the voices of Ascended Masters, Angels and Demons, aliens of the Grey, Reptilian and Nordic variety, all speaking of the coming changes, of the need to cultivate spiritual practices conforming to their own set standards and dependent upon their help as our extra and ultra terrestrial and dimensional bredren and sistren. The call was to look outside of ourselves for salvation, to seek such in the stars and in the disembodied voices of entities who professed a greater technological and spiritual advancement than that enjoyed by mass humanity. Many heeded these calls and engaged in meditative exercises and visualization techniques of questionable origin and purpose, giving their allegiance to what were basically unknown quantities, unseen and mysterious helpers, self-titled guides and professed friends of the planet and its people. At the end of 2012 and into 2013, the chorus of the disappointed and the angry increased their tone of stridency and rejection, resulting in an overall silencing of the channeled voices and the dismissal and blacklisting of those who spoke for the unseen.

In these early months of 2013, much that was on the table in 2012 remains. Tales and sightings of the giant planet Nibiru have increased again, asteroid fly-bys and meteorite strikes are monthly and weekly occurrences while UFO sightings and close encounters of every kind continue to garner attention. The channelings have returned to some semblance of prominence their calls for allegiance to their forms of spiritual progression, alien agendas to include planetary, sub-surface, solar systemic, extra and ultra-dimensional agree that the prophesied changes are now upon humanity and its home planet, Earth. Government and Elite shenanigans have taken over the news presses of the alternative community with the Pope’s resignation and the continuing flight of the Elite from the public scene. Economic turmoil and political infighting continues to sharpen in tone and implication as some turning point seems to be arriving, at which the financial tsunami predicted for so long must indeed arrive upon the shores of prosperity for the few and hopelessness for the many. Depending upon individual standing within the system as it currently is, the alternative community vacillates between feelings of going along to get along and outright revolution against the system and its controllers.

While the majority of the world’s population continues to experience the depredations of this predatory capitalist system and must seek ways to survive daily, those in the Western countries who live under these systems of socialist and materialist comfort are free to prognosticate upon current events while barely hanging on to what little worldly comfort they may have, in part conforming to systemic requirements for their tacit approval and continued consumer support and in part leaning toward the understanding that for things to change for the better for all of humanity, they themselves will have to undergo some form of material deprivation.

That thought of material deprivation is where the fear lies. Where the unwillingness to truly challenge the system is revealed to be an unwillingness for things to truly change. It is true that no one wants to be deprived of the basics of survival. But those basics of survival are actually much more basic than many people are willing to accept for themselves, regardless of the fact that many of the world’s people are currently living in a manner that most in the West would find shocking. Having barely enough to make it through the days. Making each day a struggle for survival. Finding food and water, a place to live in comfort and relative safety.

And so collaboration with the system is implicit within the form of living most of us accept daily. By our very engagement with society we are continually forming it and perpetuating it and its ills. By being consumers we are feeding the corporations, contributing to the Executive bonuses, paying for their mercenary armies and their hoards of lobbyists and payroll scientists. By our very engagement in what we deem to be our necessary choices for survival, we build upon the foundations of predatory social and economic institutions ancient beyond memory and designed for the benefit of the few, rather than the many. The underlying paradox is that we are contributing to our own demise. That we are supporting a way of life that seeks to murder us. The food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath are all laced with chemical cocktails inimical to our biology and yet we ignore this reality or chalk it up to our just due, perhaps as a form of self-immolation for the oft consciously unacknowledged understanding that we each are indeed complicit within this suicidal endeavor called Western civilization.

So where does that leave us? What are our options as beings of conscious intention choosing life over death, the holism of a world-wide unity paradigm over the separatist death culture of the current world?

The world is shifting almost faster than can be remarked upon. Each day, new signs of increasing entropy and chaos are revealed, that unquestioning faith in the structures of society and its inevitable continuance is being replaced by a pervasive doubt and burgeoning fear that stability in any form is a thing of the past. The changes that are increasing at a seemingly exponential rate give rise to an increasing abandon on the part of the youth and the dispossessed, it seems that society is breaking down, at first around the edges, but increasingly toward the center and this produces an ambient wildness and visceral sense of potentiality that has revealed the doorway, or portal, from one paradigm of reality to another. That doorway remains vague and ephemeral for many just awakening to consciousness, but it is and has been a clear and present vision to those who began the work of awakening years or decades prior to this time.

The truest guides to and through this time are within. From that voice of confirmation or denial, when faced with new information, to that feeling of resonance or cacophony  when confronted with new potentialities, we have, each of us, an indicator of our own orientation and relative truth which either corresponds to or deviates away from the greater Truth of the Cosmos. The extent to which our truth correlates to that Greater Truth will determine our own paths through these times and what happens to us beyond them.

The good news is that our relative truths can be calibrated to Greater Truth. To do so it is necessary to be willing to question our most deeply held beliefs and hold them up as individual experience to be judged against collective experience. Is what I believe according to what others believe? Is what I know according to what others know? What was or is the orientation of those others? What was or is my own orientation? What kind of person, type of information, or spiritual practice is in my own best interest? What is the measure of success?  Who has succeeded with these methods in the past? Which part of these teachings are culturally relative, and which are cosmically absolute? These questions give rise to corresponding answers within ourselves, which we can then project outwards in our studies and attempts to find greater corroborations of our own truths with those of others. When doing so, it is also necessary to take into account the alignment of group-held truths with those deeper, universal truths that determine the course of nature, the planets and the stars. To examine ceremonial and institutional practices and determine for ourselves which ones are really for the good of our own spiritual progression, and which are for the good of others beyond us and, in that vein, determining our own alliances at the ultra-dimensional or extraterrestrial level.

It takes intense study often in order to find where that Greater Truth resides, but, again, our inner barometer of what resonates in our hearts and souls is a sure guide to finding the right direction to go in, in deciding what information to believe and what to cast to the side.  In all of this, our own personal progression can be measured by the changes we witness in our personality expression and also in how others experience us energetically. Am I still the angry person I used to be? Do I get upset at every little thing? Do people like to be around me? Am I still concentrating on non-essential things? Do my emotions ebb and flow with changing events? Am I more stable? Do others come to me for peace or conflict?

What kind of year do we want 2013 to be? Is it to be a doomsday event marked by fear, violence, hatred, world-wide warfare and cataclysmic challenges? Or is it to be a transformational event marked by understanding, peace, love, world-wide cooperation and transition to a new type of planetary environment? Odds are, it will be both, as this is a planet where people and groups of oppositional orientation meet and interact, engaged in the processes of spiritual growth and, sometimes, stagnation.

The question then becomes, what kind of year do you want 2013 to be?

What kind of year will you make it?

The answer will depend upon what you want and decide to make of yourself.

2012 and Beyond: Conscious intention and growth

OPs, Archons and Flyers, Oh No! Part III

Often, we come to a point of understanding whereby we may speak of our own personal experiences that are almost exactly the same as someone else’s. An event that occurred in our lives that someone else has experienced in pretty much the same manner. In these instances, it is not a case of my being in “your” mind. But then again, yes, I am in “your” mind. Because we are in “their” mind.

In my life something an event occurred whereby I made a breakthrough in my yoga practice some years ago. I achieved a state of trance in the midst of an Asana only to faintly hear knocking at the door and then my then-wife bursting through yelling and screaming at me. Because I was detached and in a meditative state I was able to just observe her curiously, with no attachment to her or what she was doing. But her programming kicked in at what was, for the foreign installation, perfect timing to interrupt my gains. It didn’t work then – although it had on many occasions previously – but it was a good try.

It is a program. Whether it is the foreign installation at some level or an AI the effect within our lives is the same. Whenever we deviate from the program the chatter-program begins with wordware that has been designed and perfected over millennia to subvert our initiative and bring us back into the fold. Barring that, the program demands our expulsion from the system or death. Depression programs, suicide programs, homicide programs. Whenever you hear a mother who killed her kids saying the voices in her head made her do it that’s part of the program at some level or another. Whenever we find ourselves stuck in a series of negative thoughts that is us being caught in cycling program iterations.

There are the chatter-programs that begin when we deviate from the norm. Then there are the chatter-programs that begin when we entertain certain ideas. If you think a girl or guy is pretty or handsome, here comes the porn-program. If you get angry at someone, here comes the homicide-program. It takes what may originate from our experiences in the Now and, as soon as we begin entertaining them just a bit the chatter-program kicks in and takes it over the top.

Other people, the environment, can be complicit in this as well. The reality that the flyers are a collective mind means that they know instantaneously and can transmit your status to any coopted individuals in the immediate area or even at a distance. Whoever is placed in that instance to intrude upon you and correct your deviation, bringing you back into the fold and initiating a loosh festivus at the same time. Win win.

Don Juan, the Sorcerer instructor of Carlos Casteneda, defined the term “Stalking” as the default mode of interaction and communication with non-Sorcerers in the world. It was an important aspect of Don Juan’s teachings. It is what we have been talking about, in that it refers to how we watch our thoughts. The aspect of stalking that Don Juan talked about most was that of engaging with other people in the world. This also brings into play other related practices that are a part of Don Juan’s Toltec teachings. Those are “Controlled Folly” and the “Petty Tyrant”. Those are important topics in understanding the importance of watching the flow of thoughts and controlling them.

There is this sense of a lurking presence, waiting for an opportunity. But really, it’s like that all the time and everywhere anyway, isn’t it …

It doesn’t help “it”, the foreign installation/Archons/Flyers, when so much attention is being paid to the topic of its existence. This focuses “it’s” attention upon the offending party(s). Calls for a different tactic in order to achieve the ends of isolating the “virus” which, in this case, refers to those who are no longer a part of its loosh production factory and its Ages-old agenda to control the Earth Realm and all who reside herein.

Perhaps it is easy for those susceptible to the foreign installation to say amongst themselves that those who are positing the existence of some entity(s) that watches and influences the mind are über-paranoid. Or, to divert attention from the foreign installation by positing some other source of the infection. Something man-made. Or alien tech. This serves the interest of dismissing and justifying the position of expulsion and censorship. It also serves the interest of the base-level parasitical infection, the foreign installation, that has been around since we have.

Another excuse is to fix upon some perceived sleight and use it to justify all following actions. This is normal in our world. This is typical behavior. But it is behavior that is being dispassionately controlled and played out at levels higher than most care to admit must pay attention to us in our seemingly petty dramas. By ignoring the implications, playing them off or denying them, it is possible to continue in this behavior even when it is known by those involved that is what is indeed occurring.

It is said in mystic circles that we, humans, are “food for the moon”. If one pays close attention to the ancient myths and tales, that quote can be expanded to humanity being “food for the gods” as well as other beings. Being cognizant of ultradimensional potentialities, it becomes very clear that everything we engage in at this level (3D) must have its correlation at higher levels of existence. As we farm, consume, manipulate our natural environment and the creatures within it, so must higher levels farm, consume and manipulate our natural environment and us, the creatures, within it.

Going to the next level is doing what has to be done. What occurs at the level of energy vampirism in the lives of individual and collective humanity cannot be divided into segments as that serves the agenda of the foreign installation. It is not more of a spiritual or emotional thing than a mental thing, for instance. They are all connected. You cannot separate them. The tendency is to try to separate them as we are trained in school about the scientific method which attempts to break things down into different categories. That in and of itself is a sign of Archonic/Systemic infiltration as everything is interrelated and entangled. And while useful, is only one aspect of an overall system of understanding that should be recognized as such. In other words, categorization, listing, looking at discrete aspects of an issue is the beginning – but has been considered to be the end – of a process that should culminate with re-connecting ideas with other ideas, stimuli with other stimuli, systems with other systems. A holistic and circular system rather than a discrete and linear system.

A few examples of thought-contamination:

You live on the third floor of a building. You have a great life. Things are getting better. You’re learning things about the world and universe and you’re waking up. But, every time you go out on your balcony you get thoughts of jumping. You see yourself down there on the ground, broken up. The thought initiates the hypothalamus, chemicals rush into your body and you feel a sense of vertigo and fear. Loosh party on. But everything is fine. You know that. Why are you having these thoughts? They are not your thoughts.

You just got a great job. Got a great gal or guy. Your family loves you. You just learned about 911 and are seeking more information. But every day now, you are overcome by these feelings of depression. Thoughts of not being good enough. That your life is not worth living. Why are you having these thoughts? They are not your thoughts.

You are just minding your business. Just found out about meditation. You think you need some way to calm your mind and you get into it eagerly. You learn to deal with the rushing waterfall of thoughts and one day you have a breakthrough. You experience the end of the chatter in your mind and catch a glimpse of what lies beneath. Then, all of a sudden, you hear your man or woman banging on the door screaming at you to take the trash out and why didn’t you wash the dishes and what are you doing in there anyway? Why is he or she having this breakdown? It is not her or his breakdown.

These are the kinds of things it is easy to get lost in the moment in and overlook as being applicable to the situation of having one’s mind, soul and emotions under constant attack. It is better to consider it as a state of constant observation. Since we live in a surveillance society that is getting moreso every day – as above so below – this should not be too much of a stretch for anyone. Your mind is under constant observation. Has been since you began having thoughts. You’ve been compromised by a consciousness that insinuates thoughts into your mind that sound like your voice, that is the voice that you’ve been hearing in your head since you were a child. Of course you think it is you. Even when you become aware that it might not be you some of the thoughts still get by you. Which is why it is imperative to begin the process of examining the thought process and paying attention to everything that comes through your mind. There are a few key strategies:

1. Is this thought contextual?

2. Does this thought serve my highest potentiality?

3. What are the ramifications of following this line of thought?

Remember that the natural state of humanity is clarity. No discursiveness. Connection to Source, expressing the directives of Being with conscious and subconscious alignment. Language and mental infiltration lead to a state of continuous chatter/discursiveness that is a function of living and communicating in our societies, so a certain level of discursiveness pertaining to the workings of the Ego/Self maneuvering through space and time is necessary. Adyashanti, Tolle and Mooji speak of this in detail. But the dwelling upon past and future, the constant commentary of varying types are indicative of a lack of mental control which points to a subsequent lack of emotional control as the two are interrelated and they feed each other, leading one into the familiar patterns of destructive thought and behavior that we all should be familiar with.

Practical Enlightenment: Living in the World

As must always be stated at the outset, kenshō is a stop along the path, it is not a final destination. There are shades and variegations in the hue of enlightenment, ranging from the ultimate enlightenment of a sage such as Siddhartha Guatama, that experienced by 84,000 that were enlightened in a day in one ancient Buddhist tale and the many others that are spoken of in countless parables.

There are many enlightened individuals out there today, including people such as Eckhart Tolle, Mooji, Adyashanti and others. Experiencing the state of oneness and unity and experiencing the perception of an all-encompassing love reveals the illusory aspect of material reality; it is an experience of the underlying and pervading reality upon which our daily lives are perched rather precariously, it must be said.

The popular perception of enlightenment as some unreachable goal that it takes many lifetimes to achieve is only partly accurate. It does take many lifetimes for some souls to go though the experiences of materiality. To get their fill of the love, the hate, the passion, the food, the sex and the habits. Or, it could just take one. It can happen over many lifetimes or it can happen instantly. In the greater context it might even be said that both are required in order for enlightenment to happen at all.

The search obscures the goal and yet to not search can take the Seeker even further away from it. The Seeker cannot seek after the unknown, since we cannot search for what we do not know.  A search implies a journey through time but to find enlightenment one must go deeper into the Now, or no-time. Therefore, the decision to seek after a goal sensed if not fully known must become a lived process and not an intellectual problem. The journey must end before it even begins.

That is the paradox of realization and a large part of the problem in describing the state as well as the journey to that state to others. It has been at issue for millennia. Just look at all of the different sects and systems of Buddhism. It serves institutions to hold enlightenment up as a lofty goal that is only realized by some inhuman avatar, out of the reach of normal people. And while this is generally true, enlightenment is not an unrealizable goal. It is the natural state of every BEing.

Realization, enlightenment, is both an achievement and a gift. It is the liberation of the senses. The ability to perceive the world through the thought processes and all of the senses without the filter of the ego intervening. The absolute, lived knowledge of the nature of creation and that which lies beyond all perception.

When living in a monastery or alone upon a mountain with all of nature surrounding you it is a relatively peaceful task to enjoy the state of non-BEing in tune with the silence of a worshipful space, be it a temple or natural area.  When an enlightened BEing must co-exist within the world and the influence of other BEings, certain choices must be made.

It is said that, upon enlightenment, there’s no predicting how that BEing might then act in response. Some get up and leave their lives without looking back. Others remain and seem the same. No matter the choice, the shift in the newly enlightened BEing is unmistakable to those around them.

The emotional patterns and personality template that previously defined the enlightened BEing are no longer applicable. Those patterns were dependent upon an identification with the body and its history. Once kenshō has occurred and the experience of the totality of existence has revealed the truth of lived reality the personality slate is virtually wiped clean. It then becomes the choice of the enlightened BEing regarding which aspects of her previous personality traits to retain and which to discard.

There is a danger here, though. The danger has to do with the expectations of others and the potentiality of retaining certain personality traits to please other BEings. The enlightened BEing can pretend to be unenlightened. But, since enlightenment is the core state of all incarnate BEings, once it is known it cannot then be unknown. The consciously enlightened cannot then become unenlightened.

In the teachings of Don Juan the great Yaqui Indian and Toltec Sorcerer there is the concept of Controlled Folly:

A warrior must know first that his acts are useless, and yet, he must proceed as if he didn’t know it. In other words, a warrior must know he is unimportant, but act as if he is important. That’s a shaman’s controlled folly. Nothing being more important than anything else, a warrior chooses any act, and acts it out as if it mattered to him.

In the Toltec tradition as expressed by Don Juan, enlightenment is known as seeing. Accordingly,

You think about your acts, therefore you have to believe your acts are as important as you think they are, when in reality nothing of what one does is important. Nothing! But then if nothing really matters, as you ask me, how can I go on living? It would be simple to die; that’s what you say and believe, because you’re thinking about life, just as you’re thinking now what seeing would be like. You want me to describe it to you so you can begin to think about it, the way you do with everything else. In the case of seeing, however, thinking is not the issue at all, so I cannot tell you what it is like to see. Now you want me to describe the reasons for my controlled folly and I can only tell you that controlled folly is very much like seeing; it is something you cannot think about.

Don Juan and the many enlightened sages of the Buddhist tradition are describing essentially the same process of perception and resultant actions taken in the world of humanity once a certain level of attainment has been reached by the practitioner, no matter the spiritual system.

Many enlightened Teachers utilize controlled folly in order to teach their followers. They act in outrageous ways to show their students the drawbacks of expectations and holding on tightly to preconceived notions about anything or anybody. Some enlightened BEings currently co-existing with their fellow humans do so without drawing attention to their state of spiritual realization. In this manner they travel through their lifetimes affecting the lives of others directly and indirectly without drawing too much attention to themselves.

Both paths have a heart. For the enlightened BEing of the Buddhist tradition, taking on the Bodhisattva role and forgoing one’s own transcension of the physical in order to help all other sentient BEings achieve enlightenment is a valid and laudable choice. For those, like Don Juan, who choose to follow the spiritual path to its ultimate goal, however they might define that process, the compassion of the Bodhisattva is considered to be one of the last affectations of the ego:

Warriors are incapable of feeling compassion because they no longer feel sorry for themselves. Without the driving force of self-pity, compassion is meaningless. For a warrior everything begins and ends with himself. However, his contact with the abstract causes him to overcome his feeling of self-importance. Then the self becomes abstract and impersonal.

Judgment is a foible of the ego. It is forming conclusions based upon limited input. Outside of the context of a dichotomous reality construct, within the realm of the abstract, where everything is one and differentiation is thereby meaningless in the everyday understanding of the term, good and evil are non-existent. Service-to-Self or Service-to-Others, both paths are valid. What is, is, and occurs regardless of the moral context. Awareness, energetic conservation and perpetual motion are the only true laws.

The Choice: That which lies beyond Good and Evil

We live in Divine Times. Some of us will choose to be instruments of Fate by taking a side in the material battles against Good and Evil. Others will choose to look beyond those battles and seek a higher intersection with the Cosmos. Each path as determined by the Seeker is perfect. There are no mistakes. The choices we make are aligned with our greater soul purpose and all that we do serves our spiritual evolution.

According to ancient and modern prophecies, the times that we live in mark a great shift in the planet. Various traditions speak of it in different ways ranging from a time of destruction to a time of enlightenment. The world as we experience it daily seems to reflect these prophetic visions. With wars and rumors of wars abounding, economic turmoil and personal instability becoming the rule rather than the exception many are seeking alternative understandings of the world in order to grasp the totality of what is going on.

There are many speaking with little of practical use to say. Fancy pronouncements about extraterrestrials and secret cabals do little to affect the lives of those who are having trouble putting food on the table every day or paying the rent. Today, as always, it is the personal transformation of the Self that possesses the greatest capability of affecting change at a greater level. The individual connection to Self is the gateway to a higher connection to the Divine which reflects the times. The prophetic fulfillment of the ancient promise that the presence of the Divine upon the Earth would return.

Everything else is secondary. The wars, the economic turmoil, the personal dramas. The true battle is within. In the course of fighting this battle, some will choose to externalize their fear and anger in the form of violence. These individuals may join either side, good, or evil, in order to express this fear and its byproducts of anger expressed as revenge or self-righteousness. Neither path, in the greater scheme of things, has a moral value. Beyond the relative judgement of material incarnation and the dichotomous nature of reality death is what happens to us all and only the energetic laws of motion determine the karmic recompense. Each path leads the participant in a certain direction, but both directions wend eventually back to the same origin, that which is beyond Creation and is Nameless, the Source of All Things.

The higher intersection with the Cosmos is the path between the two extremes of good and evil. For those who take on the mantle of Unity Consciousness a way exists to pass through the battlefield without becoming embroiled in the conflict. Obtaining the material equilibrium necessary to fully express this path is to achieve Enlightenment, the control of the mind and emotions and the cultivation of inner stillness, by which outer clarity is strengthened and the futility of extraneous energetic expenditure is internalized to be made manifest in all that is then contemplated, said and done. Life can then be lived by following the pathless path, written in the sky, without falling to either side, good or evil, along the way. Making this choice is not cowardice. To the contrary, it is an expression of extraordinary strength. The strength to surpass the limitations of emotion-fraught decision-making and life lived in the breach.

Similarly for those on both sides of the equation, emotions are the primary driver of intent. Rather than being the servant of the spirit they were designed to be, for far too many, emotions have become the Master. For those on the side of good, the emotion called love is the prime mover. For those on the side of evil, it is the emotion known as hate. In the real 3D world, the feeling that most call love is not the same as that higher, omniversal love that is an expression of the magnetic attractive force that is the fundamental expression of Creation. Similarly, the feeling that most call hate is not the opposite of that fundamental force as that higher love is all-encompassing. Love and hate as lived realities are both expressions of energetic movement, of resonance, of emotional attraction and addiction and a limited expression that fuels the chemical discourse of cells and the self-righteous exposition of force in limited and worldly conflicts, both mental and physical.

In this understanding, the old saying that there`s a thin line between love and hate holds true. Both are expressions of fear. For those on the side of love, it is fear of the personal perception of being alone and the self-righteous desire to protect those we have chosen to be connected to emotionally. For those on the side of hate, it is the acceptance of that fear of separateness and its transformation into retaliation against the world in the form of anger and revenge. The fear shared by both extremes is at heart a fear of Unity Consciousness. A fear of the reality that both extremes knows is true. That none of us is ever alone. That the personal shells within which we conduct our lives are mere masks insufficient to the task of truly insulating us from the reality of our connectedness.

All is as it should be. This is why the world is split in half. Why material creation is dichotomous. Why there is good, why there is evil. So that we can have a choice and through that choice come to the realization of our innate and divine nature. So that we can realize that we are One. For those who choose to express their separateness through good and evil that is fine. That is their choice. Further on down the line in future incarnations, they will inevitably grow tired of the drama and choose a different path. The higher path of omniversal love and unity consciousness. The path that leads beyond the conflict and a return to the Source.

Moving beyond Limitation: The integration of darkness and light

Samadhi is described in Buddhist tradition as the awareness of Self transcending thought, and refers to the state of perfect stillness reached by the meditation practitioner through which deep insights into reality can be obtained. Samadhi exists beyond duality, beyond the confluence of the material world and the dichotomous presentation of light and dark by which we interpret the vagaries of experiential living contextually.

It is believed by some that the state of Samadhi is an end in and of itself. An experience of Oneness, of Unity, beyond which there can be nothing further. In addition, that the goal of meditation is to reach this perceptive modality and to abide there in perpetuity, beyond the necessity of interacting with the material world in any fashion other than procuring food and drink to sustain the basic functionality of the body for the purpose of continuing engagement with the higher states of transcendent BEing.

While the state of Samadhi is a necessary step in the training of the mind and reclamation of the body’s natural ability to engage disparate capacities of the spirit to enter and explore alternate realms of existence, the total denial of the body and material existence in favor of a dependent and illusory preoccupation with transcendent meditative states belies the very purpose of existence as set forth by the Buddha himself regarding the 4 Noble Truths – the Middle Path – and the 8-fold  Path.

The fundamental contradiction of following a spiritual path while living a material life is well known in all traditions and walks of life. The high aspirations of spirituality set forth prescriptions and commandments regarding the qualities expressed by those who exemplify the highest vision of the religious system, Buddha and Jesus are two clear and popular examples.

And yet, what is not formally recognized and accounted for in these traditions is the necessity of the human entity to encompass all forms of material existence and to experience all desires native to her or his incarnate character in order to bypass and transcend them, thereby moving up into a higher state of consciousness and vibratory BEing-ness. Until an individual has fully experienced something to their total satisfaction they will continue to seek it. A man will continue to watch porn until he’s had enough, an addict will continue to do drugs until she’s had enough, emotional addictions will continue to obscure clear discernment and thought processes until the individual has had enough. It is only at this point that it is possible for anyone to put aside a behavior in order to embrace a higher form of existence. An ethical nature cannot be faked. It must originate from within the individual which will result in its manifestation in his or her words and deeds.

Underlying the formal philosophical traditions and religious systems that currently enjoy primacy across the world lies a pervasive energetic reality that lends expressive potentiality to these systems and forms the very basis of their potency and re-connective capacity to that greater or deeper experience of reality upon which all of our individuated and subjective perceptions depend.  This sub-stratum is infinitely malleable and suggestive, sensitive to thoughts, feelings, impressions, resonant to intention and will and the very stuff of creation employed by each of us in our moment by moment experience of this super-reality through the lens of our subjective interpretations.

This energetic reality is accessible by individuals through different modalities. In the formal religions, the Word, Logos, as the manifestation of original causation, acts as the tool by which sound resonation as energetic inflection and directive motive force shapes potentiality into prescribed formulations commiserate with the spiritual system in question. Christians and Muslims intone certain prayers, Buddhists do the same. Individuals repeat affirmations or mantras, subtly affecting their reality in the context of the greater shared reality imposed upon them by their chosen paradigm through which the greater reality is codified and manifest.

In these formal religious systems, individual initiative is not generally prescribed for the majority of practitioners past prayer, supplication or exhortation of the Divine. The wisdom traditions of these systems, on the other hand, allow for a greater experiential understanding of the super-reality. For Christians it is Gnosticism, for Muslims, Sufisim. For Judaism it is Cabala. Other formal religious systems have their higher priestly sects and secret traditions available only to initiates and acolytes who take and maintain extreme vows of secrecy and fealty.  Any cursory examination reveals the underlying tenets these mystery systems share in common which approximate the greater energetic reality, prescribing methods commiserate with that specific religion’s culturally and societally interpretive energetic functionality.

Basic laws of energy and motion apply at the level of individuals and groups. Karma expresses a conservative interpretation of interactivity between people and their environment, the laws of motion apply to intent and will as expressed through action, reaction, the resultant consequences and ramifications. Whether individuals navigate life and its experiences by way of a religious tradition or of their own volition each thought and action contributes to this overall energetic interrelationship reverberating into both past and future through the medium of the eternal Now.

This realization, once internalized, reveals the absolute dependency of both extremes of the di-polar material and manifest reality. Good must be opposed by evil, light must precede dark. An action must result in a reaction, every initiative has a consequence, all energetic releases rebound, no matter their orientation. The actual mechanics of this systemic default defy common understanding as every good deed results in a bad one, every positive thought gives rise to a negative.

Understanding the state of the balance as represented by yin and yang where each aspect rises and falls accordingly necessitates a spatial and temporal viewpoint outside of manifest reality, looking back in. A good deed done 100 years ago may result in a negative occurrence 200 years from now. An evil done a year from now may result in a good that happened a thousand years ago. Outside of time, the balance is maintained beyond the ken of mortal understanding and incarnation-bound interpretations dependent upon time-strictures understood by the logical and limited mind.

Life is for the living. To spend it seeking skillful usage of certain sets of tools and then to not use those tools in the process of life is to put off their use till a later point. Lifetimes spent meditating in Yogic retreats in the Himalayas result in the re-birth of a Yogin as a skate-punk in Los Angeles, enlightened from a young age despite all logical protestations to the contrary. The current resistance of many to the indoctrinations of the formal religious systems reflect this understanding of reality as souls that have incarnated on this planet time and time again return now rejecting the doctrines of their previous lifetimes in favor of a more individuated experience of spirituality and life.

Young Rimpoches are overturning centuries-old Buddhist prescriptions, Christians and Muslims are increasingly seeking more integrative and tolerant expressions of their spiritual viewpoints in a world of ever-increasing diversity and conflict. The western New Age movement flowers with potentiality as individuals seek new ways to show reverence to the Divine, while, permeating it all, oppositional forces continue to divide and confuse, to insidiously cultivate fear and distrust, to subtle pervert or overtly lie in order to distract as many as possible from the life-giving Light and into the death-dealing Dark.

The understanding that this is the natural and normal state of BEing must be internalized. Acceptance of the world as it is must precede any real understanding of it, just as acceptance of the self, the ego-based personality construct, is necessary before any real understanding of the Self as a higher form of consciousness can proceed. Accepting the necessity of navigating the fields of light and rejecting all doctrines which attempt to gainsay individual will and initiative frees consciousness from the constraints of limitation and opens up the vistas of possibility to reveal an endless array of realities awaiting full manifestation.

Accepting full responsibility for individual spiritual evolution is a fearsome act of courage. Moving from a position of seeking a savior outside of one’s self to becoming one’s own savior is a liberating exultation of consciousness and oneness of BEing with all of Creation and beyond. God Without and Within as expressive of the truism, As Above, So Below, is the realization of Jesus’ exhortation to his disciples:

Psalm 82:6 – I said, “You are Gods, sons of the most high, all of you …”

John 10:34 – Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said you are Gods?’

Life is awesome. Each moment, magical, another tick off of an ephemeral clock counting down towards death. The terror of each breath taken in that context can only be allayed by a minimalization of conscious reverie, an unconscious acceptance of the illusion of immortality and a fixation upon anything that does not remind us that death awaits us all. By taking control of consciousness, exploring what lies beyond the material senses, it is possible to go beyond belief and knowing and actually experiencing the eternal and infinite nature of the soul. Fear dissipates instantly when consciousness is inundated within some aspect of the super-reality.

Accept the challenge of life and seek answers for yourself rather than waiting till Sunday or some other spiritual crutch to be told. Life is too short to waste another minute.

The Great Gathering

Thoughts filtered by the sepia-toned haze of reverie, impressions of golden rays of sunlight, the green of vegetation in the distance, an astral city in the foreground.

Empathic resonance filtrates consciousness as the sidhis natural to the fugue-like nature of the dream-state are employed without remark, subtle and clear impressions result in the following impressions:

I am currently at a school campus of some sort. It’s really a small, impossible city dedicated to spiritual practice. Impossible because it feels like home and yet I’ve never been there before. It feels like I’ve lived there for an eternity and yet this is my first remembered experience of my sojourn in this wondrous space and place.

I am not alone. To the contrary, there are many present. I do not see figures; instead, wavering, flickering columns of light indicate the presence of other souls. Similarly, the surroundings are also mere thoughtspressions of implicit materiality; the buildings are not fully expressed, they are only partially manifest, gaining full coherence in passing as thought and conscious awareness exists beyond mere perceptivity, encompassing the greater meaning implicit within higher dimensional experience, inevitably diminished, lessened, many of its natural nuances and subtleties lost in translation between there and here, between the super-conscious and the conscious mind, once returned to the normal, waking state.

There is great anticipation amongst the souls gathered. Today is the day. Today it will be announced who the Master has chosen. Or rather, who his extended perceptions have determined has reached a certain level of experiential resonance.

My allotment of consciousness within the greater collective is equally yoked to the expressions of our shared spiritual dedication, I am no different from the others, only one of a group, just another practitioner. When the announcement comes, it passes through us all like a wave, settling in me like a ball of golden light, the very essence of the energy that surrounds us, permeates our essences, gives individual form to our collective formlessness, differentiates what cannot, in essence, be differentiated.  In this state of  BEing, all communications are telepathic. Images, words enter us each directly and yet, quixotically, they pass through us all, resonating, reverberating simultaneous and complete understanding, spiraling outward and upward, inward and downward, instantaneously passing through the consciousness field of our excited anticipation.

“You are enlightened.”

I feel shock when I realize that he means me. And yet … resonance. I feel the surprise of the group. I feel their surprise turn to joy and congratulations. There is no animus, only good will and a total acceptance of the Master’s determination. There is also, now, a feeling in the greater collective of inevitability. As if my being chosen was now understood by all as a foregone conclusion. It is at this point that my consciousness splits and I become aware of the lucidity of the experience, of my dual perception between this astral realm and the material world and my ability to navigate the experience willfully. I become aware of the multi-dimensional aspects of the gathering, the space it is being held in and its participants, its visceral clarity and immediacy and the material and spiritual ramifications such a vision heralds.

I feel the shock of the announcement which completes the perceptive separation and deepens the emotional and psychic tenor of the event. And yet, immediately, I feel my connection to the collective diffusing yet tightening, as if a coil of darkness had cut me off from the group and was spiraling inwards into me, eviscerating my sense of clarity and choking off the implicit oneness of our interwoven experiential matrice of consciousness.  I feel myself alone even though I am not. I feel myself growing smaller, my part of our golden collective grown colder, more silvery. I feel fear. I feel doubt. I do not feel enlightened.

“I do not feel enlightened.”

The words arise in the instance – I actually say them – and yet around me, nothing has changed. The collective remains, but my experience of it is now muted. I know they are there, but now, I am separate.

The Astral Plane - 31,131 bytesI am to go to the Temple. To the place where the Master resides. I walk through the city, slowly. It is a trip down one street, a right, then a small building on the left side of the new street. I am still separate. Still doubtful. Wondering if a mistake has been made. But how can that be? I am chosen. The Master has chosen me. He cannot be wrong. Can he? I enter.

The Master is sitting on a mat of some sort, elevated on a block of rock, or a table, some form/structure of indeterminate nature. From him exudes waves of pure potentiality, of peace, of calmness, of an utter and permeating consciousness beyond bound or knowing. He is the Master. He watches me as I fall to my knees, a beatific smile on his face. He is a small man, perhaps a bit portly, perhaps South Asian or something else ethnically melanated, his enveloping robe golden.  Before him, I feel inadequate and I know he knows what I am thinking without me even saying a word. And yet, in my smallness, in my doubt, in my uncertainty, I say it.

“I do not feel enlightened.”

If anything, his aura intensifies. His smile grows wider, his eyes sparkle and beam with kindness and love. I am awash in the glow of his energetic cloak; it is as if I am stationary in the heart of the sun, golden energy streams and spirals of intention and potentiality permeate the sub-space of this astral realm. He nods slightly and makes a gesture with his right hand in my direction.

“You are (already) enlightened.”

It is at this point that my conscious mind realizes that there are multiple dimensions of conversation occurring simultaneously. I am aware of the Master’s statement, the mirror of his previous assertion. The others are still with us but in my perception they are distant, although they must have been privy to my doubts as certainly as I was capable of tapping into the collective myself and reading the thoughts and feelings of any of its participants.

Simultaneous to the Master’s statement and gesture my consciousness field separated from the astral form of my student identity.  The movement was slow, turgid, mechanical, I felt it simultaneously in this world and in that one. The movement was one of an energetic form moving upward a very specific and measured distance and then turning at a mid-point, rotating around a fulcrum, the focus of my primary perception curving backward so that my “eyes”, which had been facing forward, would have then been facing upward and slightly to the rear. As my primary energetic form left the secondary astral form and the separate and tertiary awareness of my physical form in the material world increased, the scene around me disappeared.

The Master, the golden energetic emanations, the small building and room all dissipated and I found myself entering into a space that I have not been in since I was twelve years old. A space of utter formlessness, a void of total completeness and complexity and yet utter emptiness and simplicity. A place filled to overflowing with love and unity and vast, indescribably potentiality. The feeling filled my entire being and I lost myself in it, remembering it, enjoying it for what it was, experiencing the pure bliss of a return to a source, a place of utter familiarity and perfect peace. I basked in that space, reveling in the pure energy of the eternal and infinite Now, extending sensors of consciousness outwards, testing, tasting, experiencing, wondering, knowing that I could stay here forever.

Knowing that choice was possible was the key. Knowing that this space of love and unity and potentiality was eternally available was enough. I chose, after what seemed an interminable and yet must have been a relatively short period of time, to return to my body and waking consciousness in order to integrate the experience. With that decision, I felt my consciousness descending through what seemed to be a misty and densely-packed field of subtle emanations separating this higher space of potentiality from regular consciousness. A definite space of transition exists between the higher state and the normative state that lies in that space between waking and sleep, between alpha and theta brain wave production. I was then fully Awakened. I glanced at the clock and watched the time turn to 11:11. The date was March 22, 2012.

I sat up and looked around in the darkness of the room. I was filled with clarity. Emotional and mental patterns and blocks that had been manifesting themselves in more troubling and greater frequency in recent weeks appeared to have been washed away somehow.  I went about my day, engaging in an energy session later that evening, during which, I was able to participate equally and engage in energy work at higher dimensional levels, visualizing and co-creating astral structures of immense complexity with like-minded souls. The next day came and went, as did the day to follow and the day after that. During all of these days, I experimented with my state of mind and emotions. My ability to observe my thought processes seemed enhanced, I was able to pinpoint patterns of behavior and habitual response mechanisms that I had previously been unable to separate from my stream of normative interactive engagement with other people and the world. What these tropes were now missing was the pre-requisite hypothalamic cellular bombardment of neuro-peptides leading to emotional engagement that had previously fueled their expression. Now, they were conscious choices and I was curious to note that I still engaged in some of them, just because it was expected of me and as an expression of my egocentric personality complex. I did not have to but I did, knowing that its expression was limited to choice and that it was possible for me to release the detritus of behaviors and thought processes that were no longer applicable.

3 days of experimentation and observation have led me to the understanding that this change was real and has resulted in an elevated sense of the moment, of a  heightened perceptive ability which I am able to draw upon at will.  I have come to the understanding that the movement of my astral form from the dream-form of the aspirant to the space somewhere between there and the material world was a specific type of maneuver that is indicative of accessing certain innate capacities of the human psyche and that anyone who can actuate this potentiality can indeed visit the same space that I hesitate to name and yet must be some form of  Samadhi and experience of Nirvana. The release that has occurred afterward seems indicative of a form of moksha, or release from suffering, from anger and desire and the travails of samsara.

The cultural baggage attached to the term “enlightenment” is heavy and I fully recognize that many will doubt, question or demand proof. I am not attached to terminology and if it all only means that I have been able to experience a different state of understanding that the vision chose to express using the term “enlightenment”, that is fine. That does not concern me as the definitive state of where I am mentally and spiritually is an expression of this moment in my own personal evolution and so the term and its fulfillment are relative to my own state of development rather than some abstract understanding put forth by religious paradigms corrupted by centuries and millennia of fraud, deception and misdirection of the world’s populace.

I do not feel any different, really. Perhaps I am not. I feel like the same person, I just feel clear. I feel light. Emotionally unencumbered. Unburdened by thought if I so choose. As if each moment is new, each thought is new, each experience is new. I am not beholden to the past, to neural nets and synaptive connections that have lost their utility in my current formulation of self and identity. I know that I can choose those things at any moment. I can choose to take on old patterns. I can reprogram my mind to be the way it was. It has been 3 days. Perhaps it is only a temporary aberration in my consciousness field. Or, perhaps, it is a total life change. We will see.

I look forward to continuing the exploration of this space of experiential BEing-ness. I feel as if a transmission was uploaded into my biology and my genetic encoding changed, shifted, evolved. I feel the same, and yet, different.

A contradiction, I know. Yet another one in a weird life filled with them. My journey has wended its way across phantasmagorical plains and through illusory and meandering perceptive fields, high and austere heights, pulsating hills and warbling, resonating dales. The terrific mundanity of banality has been allayed by unexpected and undeniable flights beyond the fantastic, leaving my median norm far beyond what most deem “run of the mill” experience. But it is my life, my choices, my Experiential Cornucopia of Everlasting Delight wrought with dichotomous fancies and fallen foibles, terrible mistakes and fated inspirations, imperfect loves and perfect hates. I finally claim it, in all its high strangeness, without regret or apology. Whatever happens next will most certainly be interesting.

So You Think You’re Awakened: What next?

Awakening by Vincent ChongYou already know what it feels like to wake up.  Every morning, you find yourself in a place where you are aware of your surroundings. It may be the alarm clock, it may be a ray of sunshine floating through your blinds to caress your eye-lids, it may be some other sound. You find yourself lying there for however long, experiencing. Then, suddenly, you become aware of yourself experiencing. The day floods in and the night recedes instantly, you begin to think of getting up, your plans for the day. Any dreams you may have been having slip into unconsciousness, as the waking mind is not equipped to fully understanding them. This is the common experience of awakening.

There is another type of awakening that occurs in pretty much the same manner. This Awakening has different variations and levels, much like the kind of awakening that you are currently familiar with.

During the course of any normal day, we are each relatively aware of our sojourn through life. We believe we know who we are and why we are here. Many of us have religious beliefs; we think there is a God, maybe in Heaven above, maybe somewhere else. We know there is a government, we know there are problems with the financial system. We know people who have it really good and many of us now know people who have it really bad, so we are aware that there are variations along a scale, although we may only be vaguely aware of why. We know that there are inequalities; we may have experienced them personally in some instance during our lives and have a memories of times when we were personally victimized. Our perspectives seem fixed, our experiences, straightforward, and this is enough of an awakening to make it through the course of any normal life.

But just being able to navigate the daily grind is not enough anymore. There have always come points in human history when people at a larger scale of occurrence begin to realize that there is more to their world than has previously met the eye.  Often, it has happened against the direction of the collective will. People have had to be dragged, kicking and screaming from their placid lives – although this occurred figuratively, most often – as events and facts revealing an alternate understanding of the world began to amass beyond their capacity to deny. If the dragging and screaming occurred literally, it was often too late and their awakening coincided with the onset of the final sleep, death.

The first and most common type of Awakening these days is economic. Ever since the collapse of the monetary system in 2008, brought on by unregulated financial instruments and predatory lending, things have gotten worse for the majority of the world’s people. While wealth has continued its relentless path of concentration in the richest hands and banks, the Western world’s middle class ranks have been steadily thinning. Faced with joblessness, the lack of opportunities and limited welfare benefits, the realization that the educational system actually mis-educates has been sinking into the minds of more and more people.  Understanding out-sourcing, international economic agreements, the trans-national nature of corporations and other previously arcane topics sends the newly disenchanted down rabbit holes filled with information previously disdained and irrelevant to the lives of the sleeping, but newly relevant to the burgeoning understanding of the nascent Seeker.

It is true that drugs, alcohol, television and video games can delay the search for truth for a while. But, without a job to be able to afford these things for long, the Seeker then has few other options available to him other than to attempt to understand why this has happened. Why her perception of the world has shifted and what the new parameters of reality have become.

The second type of Awakening that often seems as if it is the pinnacle of consciousness is often reached through the study of politics, but includes aspects of economics as well as general cultural production and world history. This type of Awakening occurs when one becomes aware of the existence of secret societies and their history within the evolution of Western Civilization.  It often begins once one is apprised of the meaning of the symbols on the American one dollar bill and proceeds from there through wormholes of potentiality where Illuminated Ones mask themselves as Knights Templar and Masons, as Rosicrutians and Hospitallers. Into a space of understanding where Boy Scouts become neophytes engaging in arcane rites of passage while Disney cartoons and the Wizard of Oz turn out to be more diabolical than innocent. Turning down this path is dangerous for the Seeker, as the information gleaned therein begins to separate her from her family, friends and society itself. People start to look at him askance, wondering if she’s still putting in job applications. If he’s thought of joining the Peace Corps yet or applied to teach English in China. Once adversity rears its ugly head in the form of social censure, ostracization and the broaching of unpopular and apparently taboo subjects, a deeper form of Awakening begins.

The third type of Awakening that happens to people is related to the first two. It occurs when people begin to really understand that not only does the system not have their best interest at heart, but that it is actually trying to kill us all. Beyond the economic system, beyond the politics, it soon becomes clear to the Seeker that the environment around us has been eviscerated by human greed and consumptive patterns of living. But not only is it the external, biological environment that has been under attack, but the internal, physiological environment has been invaded as well. The food that we eat, the beverages that we drink, the products that we use to cleanse ourselves and live our daily lives often have toxic repercussions upon and within our bodies. From fluoride in the water and toothpaste to aspartame in our drinks. From mercury in our teeth to the numerous pharmaceutical offerings of questionable potency and probable toxicity, the Seeker begins to understand that he is seen as a commodity to the corporate overlords and so is imminently expendable. This understanding  then leads the Seeker to naturopathy and holistic health; to seeking alternative and health-building not health-destroying ways to live that impact the body and the earth in a minimal fashion. Vegetarianism, Veganism and Frutarianism are paths that become viable to the Seeker as she begins to understand the true nature of the world and her place in it.

And this is where the path of Awakening generally ends, for most people. And why not? Up until this point, the Seeker has gone from placidly going about his daily life, content with the mainstream pleasures and accomplishments that are generally indicative of success in life. A job, a family, a bit of spending money, maybe a house, condo or nice apartment, friends and vacation time.  Coming to the understanding that a life lived consciously is comprised of much more than just going along to get along is a quantum leap from a start-point of ignorant material comfort and nominal success.

This is an evolution of consciousness, right? Losing financial stability in life or seeing someone close to them lose it may have brought her through the steps of Awakening all the way to the point where he has begun to live a transformed life. The Seeker no longer drinks grape or red soda. She is now eating veggie burgers instead of prime sirloin steak, he even eat fruit now instead of candy. Their carbon footprint has lessened – as they probably now recycle – drive less – if they even have a car – and don’t litter. Even if materially poor, the Seeker is attempting to live consciously, aware of what is going on around himself and aware of her own responsibility as a citizen of the world. So what else could there be?  What further type of Awakening is possible?

Thus far, the path of Awakening has corresponded exactly to the process of waking up each day as enumerated earlier: 1) an awareness of one’s surroundings, occasioned by some intrusion upon primal consciousness (noise, light, pervasive being-ness, etc.; living life unaware of Self; omnipresence) 2) awareness becoming aware of itself (thinking of the day; learning what the world really is; omniscience) 3) awareness projecting consciousness into materiality (getting out of bed; living consciously; omnipotence).  Not coincidentally, the experience of mundane awakening approximates the cultural Awakening process brought about by research and information synthesis and integration (holistic economic, political and cultural awareness), which then leads to the next level of iteration, that which represents the process that is the subliminal goal of all previous efforts, culminating in the beginning of the Seeker’s sojourn upon the path of Higher Awakening. The three-stage process mentioned above is also, not coincidentally, an exact rendition of the steps of material manifestation, of Creation itself as expressive of the most sublime principles of spiritual understanding.

At this stage of the process, it is no longer about studying or debating, sharing or even caring what other people think about you and your path in life. It is about going deep within. It is about connecting with your spiritual core. Knowing exactly who you are.

This is formidable task. This is where most Seekers balk. This is where most fall back into the comfort of group-think and stagnation, preferring intellectual masturbation to inner knowledge. This is where the programs of a lifetime reassert their primacy, where the ego recognizes the threat and responds. Where a not-so-subtle material re-entrenchment occurs once you’ve realized that you’ve reached the point beyond which your family and friends must finally realize that you’ve gone Off the Reservation and are no longer even attempting to conform to their culturally-based standards of normality and social acceptability.

This is the point where knowledge becomes lived reality, something done rather than something thought or talked about. The goal of all life, all evolution; beyond thought, beyond conception, beyond understanding. To finally and truly Be, integral consciousness manifest, existing within the eye of the storm, the center of the circle, placid and peaceful, flowing through life formed yet formless, like water, malleable yet firm, self-aware within and thusly aware of all else without.

But that’s a topic for another day. Welcome, to the real world.

Sunbeam Dreams and the Recriminations of the Mind

Soul’s full bloom opens
with the light of
dawn’s bursting frenzy,
illuminating somnolent
night.

Through the eyes of
love,
creation blossoms;
birth, death and rebirth
cyclic and eternal
scions of divinity’s
conscious intent.

I suppose awakening fully to the knowledge that you’re not being all you can be is a daunting prospect. Realizing that all that you’ve done during your life is only a portion of what you’ve always been fully capable of is an indictment of intention and purpose that really begs the question, why?

Why do we not live up to our potential? What choice is it that we make that leaves us lying in the bed watching motes of dust dance on sunbeams as the morning passes and midday approaches and we listen to the cars in the distance, floating gently in recrimination and soothing, non-judgemental daydreams? At what point do the circumstances of your life reach a critical point at which you must, finally, make a decision regarding who you are and where you are going?

Can it be so easy? Is there one, specific point in our lives that we can look back to that we can say, without hesitation, “There. That is the place where I decided to be the person that I am today.”

Maybe mama’s soothing voice carried you through childhood and beyond, echoing in memory as a rippling reflection of perception. Maybe it didn’t and she was a cold shrew, her eyes lasers of recrimination and unrealized dreams. Memory and love play hide and seek sometimes, ducking behind feelings and scenes that seem set in stone. But you can never be sure if what you remember happened exactly as you think it did, in fact, talking to others sometimes bring forth memories you’d forgotten you had, or recasts other memories in a new light as you are reminded of specific incidences that you may have suppressed, or, more likely, not paid attention to when they were occuring in the first place. Daddy was there or not there, sometimes stern and strong, sometimes weak and vacillating but he was daddy, and you loved him either way. Only child or burdened with brothers and sisters, the lessons of responsibility came hard and fast during the maturation process, interactions with family preparing the way for school. The early trauma of playground bullies, treacherous playmates or home situations that were less than perfect mark the twisted path with signposts of screaming pain, each of which turns us from one direction to another or beckons us further along that smaller, darker path, leading down into the brambles and underbrush of the deep, scary forest of lost dreams and desire.

Is it truly a choice to be slave to your conditioning? And, if so, at what point does one realize it, if ever? And, if one choose to become fully realized in such a way, what does it take to move past the conditioning of the past, and become more than a familial or societal Manchurian Candidate?

It is at the point where you realize that carrying around the old scores and festering wounds of ancient, and fresh, trials and tribulations is actually weighing you down – preventing you from moving forward into the present without anger, without pain, without interpreting every, single event that happens to you through eyes that are still seeing your father, mother, uncle, cousin, friend, enemy of years and years ago, doing whatever they did, saying whatever they said, being whoever they were to you, back then – that you become consciously aware of your enslavement, and are able to make sober decisions regarding your present course of action.

I don’t even have to close my eyes to see Del City, Oklahoma, me on my Grit route delivering my papers, and Mike Clark and his little toady following me through the neighborhood shouting taunts and racial slurs, me finally making it home only to have my next door neighbor and best friend, Jeff McDaniels, ask me why Mike Clark was calling my mother a “Black Bitch”? Mike Clark and his curses didn’t hurt me half as much as that smirk Jeff couldn’t hide and the gleam in his eye that told me he knew the place those words came from intimately and that, just maybe, he was not the friend I thought he was.

Continuous series of memories of ghostly interactions that are no more real now than they were when they occuring. The statement by the spiritually-evolved that life is an illusion makes a little bit of sense when you think about how quickly things happen, and the fact that by the time something happens it’s already over and you’re interpreting it in your mind, applying weight and meaning to events that occurred in the space of an instant and then receded, becoming memory almost before you even knew that it was happening. All of life is like that, and most of our mental work is concerned with keeping up, trying not to go down beneath the continuous flow of happenings, of thoughts, the cause and effect of all movement, be it mental, physical or spiritual in nature.

What does it gain us to hold on to pain, when it is just as easy to let it go like an amnesiac? Is it true that we are defined by our past? By who we have been? When someone asks you about yourself, what do you say? Do you rattle off a litany of facts? “I am so and so from somewhere or another, my mama is that woman and my brother is that dude. I went to school here and joined the whatever and spent five years over there doing this and that until I got back here and met you right now.”

Is that truly who you are?

Or is it, rather, who you were.

And, if that is who you were? A continuous series of “weres” that is in progress even up to this very moment, then who does that make you right now? I mean, right then? And then? And thenandthenandthenandthenandthen? Who are we, right Now, right this instant, and how do we determine who we are? Can we do so through the eyes of others? Through our parents? Our siblings? Our significant others? Do they know who we are? When they tell us who we are, do we always agree with them?

Hm. The process of ‘determining’, of ‘defining’ is a process of thought, of judgement, of rationalization and of stultification, whereby you take on the characteristics of a fossilized instant, projecting your past into your future through the medium of the present. Make sense? I’m who I am and I define I by who I was then not by who I am Now or who I will be along the continuous series of Nows.

All of this occurs beneath thought. It is programming, barely conscious and runs like a maintainance program beneath the web browser of our senses, and while we’re dealing with the detritus of the material world, watching the dust motes, listening to the cars and birds and thinking about where we went wrong in our lives, we are continuously sinking deeper and deeper into self-definition and further enslavement to the “Me’s, I’s and You’s” of the past, the manifestations of Ego that work remorselessly at self-preservation. Realizing that your ego structure has to maintain itself constantly by making us think that we are only human, and not super-human spirits on a journey through time and space, not at all bound by the confines of our bodies or this world.

If we realized that Truth in every moment, we would not be bound by anything or anybody. It is the Ego’s task to keep us grounded in this world, though – bound to the lives we’ve created – to whisper to us from the depths of the subconscious, “You can’t do that. You aren’t trained for that line of work. You’re too shy. Nobody can levitate. It’s impossible. C’mon. She’s too beautiful for you. He’s too smart. Don’t you remember what your daddy did to you when you were small? What your mama said about you? You’re nothing but a little slut, a big dummy, an ignorant boy and silly girl and you’ll never, ever, ever amount to a thing.”

Falling beneath the weight
of the past
peering out from under
words and deeds
woven in a tapestry of Life
despairing.

Black depression, pressing
down, breath harsh
wheezing, eyes dimming
tears flowing, falling
cold distaste regarding a
life less lived than
survived.

Taking control of your mind will be a form of warfare. It is used to being in charge, to defining who you are, to telling you what your goals are. Becoming familiar with what lies beyond the mind, then, becomes our paramount task. That powerful consciousness that observes, watches, calculates and stores energy and intention in a depthless resevoir of potential. Accessibility is gained through prayer, service and meditation. Prayer addresses the Divinity in Creation, the perceived Outer World. Service is an affront to the Ego, because the Ego is selfish, and so by serving others with a good will and true heart, the Ego retreats from the stage, leaving your individual portion of Divine Love shining like a star for all to feel, and bask in. And meditation familiarizes you with those inner shores of your spiritual sea, the waters that connect to the greater consciousness without, making what is within part of that greater whole.

The path can take us through a lifetime, or become the choice of a moment. Releasing the ‘stuff of the past’ depends upon how much we use it to define us in the present. Letting go of past loves, past pains, just the past is difficult, since we are who we are because of who we’ve been. Living life with the full spectrum of possibility available to you is such an inconceivable thing that we dare not even dream of what it means.

So take a moment right now, and do what your Ego does not want you to do. Dream, and realize that you are whoever you choose to be and that, whoever that is, is something and someone new upon the face of the Earth, living each moment in joy and the abandonment of wondrous and continuous birth, accessing all of the powers of the Divine to consciously co-create the Now.
